Jinnah Welfare Council (JWC) in collaboration with TVO has successfully completed a meaningful plantation initiative to support environmental sustainability and community resilience.

🌳 2,400 plants planted
💧 2 water ponds established
✅ 80% survival rate achieved
📚 Community awareness sessions and trainings conducted to help people understand the importance of tree plantation, environmental protection, and caring for natural resources

جناح نان فارمل ہائی سکول پنجگریاں میں جناح ویلفیئر کونسل بھکر کے تعاون سے کچن گارڈننگ کو فروغ دیا جا رہا ہے، تاکہ طلبہ کو عملی تعلیم کے ساتھ تازہ، صحت بخش اور غذائیت سے بھرپور سبزیوں کی اہمیت سے آگاہ کیا جا سکے۔

اس سرگرمی کے ذریعے طلبہ سبزیاں اُگانے، پودوں کی دیکھ بھال، ماحول کے تحفظ اور گھریلو غذائی ضروریات پوری کرنے کے طریقے سیکھ رہے ہیں۔ یہ صحت مند خاندانوں، سرسبز کمیونٹیز اور ایک پائیدار مستقبل کی جانب ایک اہم قدم ہے۔

Strengthening Partnerships for a Greener Future!
A productive coordination meeting was held on 06 July 2026 at the RCDS Head Office Rehman Garden Lahore, for the Community-Led Reforestation Project, Rakh Dhandla, Bhakkar, funded by the Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF) on the proposal & initiative concepts of Jinnah Welfare Council Bhakkar.
The meeting brought together representatives from Pakistan Poverty Alleviation Fund (PPAF), Rural Community Development Society (RCDS), and Jinnah Welfare Council (JWC) and their respective representatives as follows:

Mr. Asadullah Saleem, Infrastructure Specialist, PPAF & Grant Manager of the Project,

A comprehensive discussion was held on project implementation modalities, work plans, technical approaches, institutional roles and responsibilities of both partners i.e. JWC & RCDS, community engagement, monitoring mechanisms, and coordination arrangements. A key milestone of the meeting was the successful finalization and signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between RCDS and JWC, formalizing their partnership for the implementation of the project.
The partnership reflects a shared commitment to restoring the Rakh Dhandla Forest, enhancing climate resilience, promoting environmental conservation, and empowering local communities through sustainable natural resource management.
Together, we are cultivating a greener, more sustainable future for Bhakkar.

🌞 Heat Wave Alert | Stay Safe, Stay Hydrated 💧

The intense summer heat in Bhakkar can be dangerous, especially for children, older adults, outdoor workers, and people with existing health conditions.

Jinnah Welfare Council (JWC) Bhakkar urges everyone to take simple precautions to protect themselves and their loved ones during the ongoing heat wave.

✅ Drink plenty of clean water throughout the day.
✅ Avoid going outside between 12:00 PM and 4:00 PM unless necessary.
✅ Wear light-colored, loose-fitting clothing.
✅ Stay in shaded or cool places whenever possible.
✅ Never leave children or elderly people in parked vehicles.
✅ If someone experiences dizziness, headache, excessive sweating, or fainting, move them to a cool place, give water if they are conscious, and seek medical assistance immediately.
