The Higher Education Department of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa is piloting an MCQ-based entry test in 2025 for admissions to 4-year degree programs in selected government colleges, focusing on disciplines like Computer Science/Artificial Intelligence, Zoology, English, and Political Science. The test aims to screen conceptually strong candidates but will not affect merit, which will still be based on Intermediate marks. Ten colleges are selected for the pilot, with plans for broader implementation in the future. The test will be publicized widely, with a minimal application fee and structured administrative processes, including an MCQ bank and expert committee for test compilation.

1. Government College Peshawar
2. GPGC Charsadda
3. GPGC Mardan
4. GPGC Mansehra
5. GPGC Mandian Abbottabad
6. GPGC Bannu
7. GPGC Kohat
8. GPGC No. 1 D.I. Khan
9. Government Jehanzeb College, Swat
10. GPGC Timergara

The entry test results will be used as a screening tool only for this year. Candidates who qualify the test will be considered for admission based on their Intermediate examination marks. The test itself will carry no weightage for merit in the admission process.

The entry test includes the following subjects based on the chosen discipline:

1. *Computer Science / Artificial Intelligence*:
- Mathematics (SSC level): 25%
- English: 30%
- Analytical: 20%
- Computer Science: 25%

2. *Zoology*:
- English: 30%
- Analytical: 20%
- Chemistry: 20%
- Physics: 10%
- Biology: 20%

3. *English & Political Science*:
- English: 30%
- Analytical: 20%
- General Knowledge: 50%

Entry Test for admission to the selected BS Programs--including BS English, will be held on 17/08/2025.
