On World Thalassemia Day 2026, the *College of Nursing, Quaid-e-Azam Medical College, Bahawalpur* stood united to raise awareness, break myths, and inspire action.
Our nursing students led powerful sessions on prevention, genetic counseling, and the life-saving importance of blood donation. From poster competitions to awareness walks and pledges to βDonate Blood, Be a Hero,β the campus echoed with one message: Thalassemia is preventable β awareness is the cure.
A single blood test before marriage can prevent a lifetime of suffering. Today, we commit to spreading that message beyond our walls.
Special thanks to our Principal, faculty, and the brave thalassemia warriors who shared their stories with us. Your courage fuels our commitment to care. β€οΈ
