The session was chaired by the Dean of the Faculty of Computing, Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad, and aimed to align departmental goals with the university’s broader global ranking aspirations. The session established that global ranking serves as a strategic asset, driving enhanced credibility, research grants, and global academic partnerships.
Prof. Dr. M. Asadullah Madni, Director QEC, delivered a compelling presentation on the roadmap to elevate IUB’s position in international rankings. He addressed the university's current status and highlighted the need to overcome existing deficits in reputation, visibility, and internationalization.

By actively engaging in internationalization and improving our public image, we bridge the visibility gap and project the true academic strength of our university to the world," said Prof. Dr. M. Asadullah Madni, Director QEC.
Engr. Muhammad Ahmad, Deputy Director QEC, shared an analytical breakdown of IUB’s current performance and the intricate criteria defining the QS and Times Higher Education (THE) World University and Subject Rankings. To bridge the identified ranking gaps, the QEC proposed a targeted, faculty-level action plan.
The session concluded with closing remarks by Prof. Dr. Dost Muhammad, who expressed his profound appreciation for the QEC’s comprehensive data analysis and proactive strategic planning. "I highly commend QEC for this actionable roadmap. The Faculty of Computing is committed to leading its implementation.
