In continuation of series of activities, delegate from Department of Administrative Sciences led by Dr. Shahid Mehmood (Chairman DAS), visited DPO office Bahawalpur, wherein they were warmly welcomed by DPO, Mr. Abadit Nisar. Then the Dolphin forces demonstrated their training session and showcased their drill exercise to the students at Police line. DPO Mr. Abadit Nisar debriefed about the utilization of modern technology & IT by the forces and civil services. They also exhibit the old & newly added weapons to the students and described their role in training sessions of the forces. The Chairman DAS, faculty members along with the students were then moved to the Shuhadas' memorial. After that momentous were presented in a short ceremony by the gracious host DPO to Chairman of DAS. The evening was ended with a colorful Lighting Show at Noor Mahal Palace. The Worthy Vice Chancellor and Dean FOMS & C felicitated the efforts of the Chairman of the department and faculty members for arranging such events.

The Department of Administrative Sciences, IBMAS successfully conducted an interactive session regarding "Gender Mainstreaming: Role of Women in administration and Management." Additional Deputy Commissioner Ms. Sumera Rabbani graced the event as a focal person, wherein she showcased the students a pathway for pursuing a successful career in civil services. She described the significant role of women in the domains of Administration and Management. The guest speaker answered various queries of the students regarding appropriate practices & preperation for Competetive examination. Chairman DAS, Dr.Shahid Mehmood presented a momento to the guest speaker. The Dean/Director Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal appreciated the efforts of the department for arranging such a practical & informative session for students.

The Department of Administrative Sciences, Institute of Business, Management and Administrative Sciences (IBMAS), organized a seminar entitled “Scope and Trends in Administrative Sciences” in Ghotvi Hall, Abbasia Campus, The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. Commissioner, Bahawalpur Division, Raja Jahangir Anwar and Assistant Commissioner, Naeem Sadiq Cheema were guest speakers. Pro-Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Naveed Akhtar graced the vent with his presence and distributed souvenirs. In welcome address, the chairman of the department, Dr. Shahid Mehmood, introduced the department and programs. The Assistant Commissioner, Naeem Sadiq Cheema, highlighted the importance and role of administration and management sciences in public and private organizations. Chief Guest, Commissioner Bahawalpur Division, Raja Jahangir Anwar discussed the role of universities in setting the trends in the field of administration and management. He also shed light on the current trends and scope in administrative sciences. In concluding remarks, Dean Faculty of Management Sciences, Prof. Dr. Jawad Iqbal, appreciated the efforts of Chairman and Faculty members to arrange an informative session for students. He also discussed potential careers opportunities in administrative sciences and motivated students by highlighting their bright future.
