International Biodiversity Day 2026

The IUB Climate Change and Environmental Protection Society proudly celebrated International Biodiversity Day on 22nd May at the VC Secretariat under the leadership of our respected Advisor Dr. Muhammad Abdullah and the Dean Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi.

The event reflected the true spirit of environmental responsibility and youth activism. Our passionate cabinet members and dedicated volunteers participated wholeheartedly, showing their commitment towards protecting nature and spreading awareness about biodiversity conservation.

Students enthusiastically joined the awareness walk carrying handmade environmental awareness posters, using creativity and powerful messages to highlight the importance of preserving our planet’s rich biodiversity.

Together, we continue to raise our voices for a greener, healthier, and more sustainable future. 🌎

On the occasion of International Biodiversity Day 2026, the IUB Climate Change and Environmental Protection Society proudly organized an Awareness Walk and Interactive Session at the VC Secretariat on 22nd May 2026 to highlight the importance of protecting our precious biodiversity. Event was held under the leadership of Dean Prof. Dr. Tanveer Hussain Turabi.

The session was led by our respected Advisor, Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, who shared insightful knowledge about the remarkable work and vision of the IUB Biodiversity Park. As the Director of the park, he explained its vital role in the conservation of Cholistan’s unique biodiversity, its major achievements, and the promising future prospects aimed at preserving our natural heritage for generations to come.

We were truly honored by the presence of many distinguished guests whose participation made the event even more memorable and encouraging. Their support and appreciation reflected the growing importance of environmental awareness and collective action.

Every year, millions of migratory birds travel thousands of kilometers across skies, seas, and borders in search of food, shelter, and survival. But today, their journeys are becoming harder due to climate change, habitat destruction, pollution, hunting, and rapidly expanding cities.

On *World Migratory Bird Day*, we are reminded that these birds are more than just seasonal visitors — they are vital to our ecosystems and a beautiful symbol of nature’s balance and freedom.

Let us protect wetlands, forests, rivers, and natural habitats so these travelers of the sky always have a safe place to return to.

The interview process was carried out with professionalism, dedication, and a strong commitment to merit-based selection, ensuring that passionate and capable individuals become part of our mission for environmental awareness and sustainability.
