The purpose of arranging an Iftar dinner for orphans is to provide them with an opportunity to experience the joy of sharing a meal and breaking their fast together. It also gives them a chance to interact with others and feel included in the community..

The event concluded with the distribution of certificates to the outgoing club members 2022 and the induction of the new ones in 2023, marking the beginning of a new term of service and commitment to social work. All faculty members and students of Department of Social Work The Islamia University of Bahawalpur were also present in this ceremony

✨Oath Taking and Certificate Distribution Ceremony✨
Ceremony for the Social Work Students Club Term 2023 and 2022 respectively, was held at Department of Social Work The Islamia University of Bahawalpur. The worthy Chairman Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Rhanja presided over the ceremony and administered the oath to the newly selected club members.
During the ceremony, the Chairman emphasized the importance of social work and urged the club members to actively participate in various activities that promote welfare of the community. He also encouraged them to bring new and innovative ideas that could help strengthen the department and enhance its impact.

Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman of the Department of Social Work The Islamia University of Bahawalpur , on direction of Worthy Vice Chancellor attended a meeting on Disaster Management organized by the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA). The main themes addressed during the meeting were as follows:
The NDMA decided during the meeting to decentralize power for disaster management research to the Universities.
The NDMA will establish the National Institute for Disaster Management which will prove to be a focal point for national varsity research about disaster management and mitigation.
The NDMA encouraged universities to initiate research endeavors in collaboration with Faculty and researchers for accruing data from their respective local regions.
The NDMA will develop protocols for coping with various disasters and their entailed effects while keeping standards derived from International Universities and organizations in perspective.
Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Chairman Department of Social Work, commended the efforts of the NDMA and also furnished several valuable and insightful suggestions. He also relayed the achievements and plans of the Islamia University of Bahawalpur in Disaster Management to the Competent Authority at the NDMA. He told the forum that IUB is only successful model as Hepatitis Free University in Pakistan. Mr Muhammad Rameez Mohisn and Muhammad Ahmed Nawaz Lecturer Department of Social Work The Islamia University of Bahawalpur were also present during the course of the meeting.
