انتہائی افسوس کے ساتھ اطلاع دی جاتی ہے کہ ڈاکٹر محمد لطیف ملک، اسسٹنٹ پروفیسر شعبہ اگرانومی اور پرنسپل آفیسر اسٹیٹ کیئر، اسلامیہ یونیورسٹی بہاولپور، شدید علالت کے باعث وفات پا گئے ہیں۔
مرحوم ایک نہایت شفیق، مخلص اور قابلِ احترام شخصیت تھے جن کی خدمات اور اخلاق ہمیشہ یاد رکھے جائیں گے۔
آپ سب سے دلی درخواست ہے کہ مرحوم کے لیے مغفرت، بلندیٔ درجات اور جنت الفردوس میں اعلیٰ مقام کی دعا کریں۔
ان کی نمازِ جنازہ ان کے آبائی شہر مِیَانوالی میں ادا کی جائے گی، جس کی حتمی تاریخ اور وقت کا اعلان بعد میں کیا جائے گا۔

The Islamia University of Bahawalpur (IUB) celebrated International Day for Biodiversity on May 22nd with an event at the Vice Chancellor's Secretariat, recognizing the IUB Biodiversity Park's significant role.
Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, Director of IUB Biodiversity Park, presented the park's annual progress, detailing efforts to preserve and promote biodiversity in the desert region.
Worthy Vice Chancellor, Engr. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran presided over the event and praised the Biodiversity Park team. Shields & Certificates of appreciation were awarded to Dr. Muhammad Abdullah, Director, Prof. Dr. Nargis Naz, Additional Director, Dr. Ahmad Ali, Deputy Director, and Dr. Muhammad Atif Latif, Assistant Director.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Abdul Rauf, Dean Faculty of Chemical & Biological Sciences and DSA, Prof. Dr. Asif Naveed Ranjha, Director AS&R, Prof. Dr. Abou Bakar, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Rafay, Director ISS, Dr. Abid Rashid Gill, Director Green Campus Project, Dr. Jam Sajjad Hussain, Director Center for Media, Society & Democracy, Dr. Aalia Nazir, Member Syndicate, Dr. Bushra Sidiqque, Associate Professor, Ms. Farkhanda Tehseen, Director P&D, and Mr. Abdul Moeed from ORIC. The CiDS research team, students from the IUB Green Youth Movement Club, and the IUB Digital and Social Media Society also participated, with certificates presented to members of the IUB Green Youth Movement Club.
Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Kamran reiterated the university's dedication to environmental sustainability and the importance of such initiatives in achieving national and international biodiversity goals.

IUB GYM Club Organizes Climate Townhall in Collaboration with Climate Forward Pakistan
On May 15, 2025, the Green Youth Movement (GYM) Club of The Islamia University of Bahawalpur, in collaboration with Climate Forward Pakistan, hosted a successful People’s Climate Townhall. The session focused on understanding and strengthening Pakistan’s Nationally Determined Contributions (NDCs) through youth engagement, policy dialogue, and action-oriented discussions.
The event was conducted under the supervision of Mr. Abid Rashid Gill and with the valued presence of Ma’am Nadia Hassan.
🎯 A unique feature of this session was collecting written feedback from participating students , giving them a voice in shaping future climate actions and youth-led sustainability initiatives.
