Important Notification
Pir Mehr Ali Shah Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi has issued an official notification dated 09 March 2026 regarding academic and administrative arrangements.
Key Points of the Notification:
π Online Classes:
All classes will be conducted online from 10 March to 31 March 2026. Remaining Mid-Term Exams will be held once physical classes resume on campus.
π Work From Home:
University officers, teachers, and staff will continue to work from home. However, essential services staff will remain available as required.
β½ Fuel Facility:
Fuel facility for entitled officers is suspended until further orders. Officers providing essential services will receive 50% of their prescribed fuel limit.
π Eid Holidays:
Eid holidays will be observed as per Government policy/announcement.
π» Important Meeting:
A meeting of Deans/Directors will be held on 10 March 2026 at 4:00 PM via Zoom to streamline the mechanism for conducting online classes.
π’ All concerned departments and officials are requested to ensure compliance with the above instructions.

Grow More Wheat Campaign 2025 in District Attock
As per the directions of the Government of the Punjab, PMAS-Arid Agriculture University Rawalpindi, in collaboration with the Directorate of Agriculture Extension, Government of Punjab, has launched a large-scale awareness and outreach campaign aimed at enhancing wheat production and promoting sustainable agricultural practices across the six districts of the Rawalpindi Division Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Murree, and Talagang.
As part of this initiative, the Outreach Team from District Attock actively participated in a week-long awareness drive covering all six tehsils of District Attock. The team from the main campus included:

Postgraduate and undergraduate students also joined the campaign, contributing to farmer engagement activities, road show, field demonstrations, and awareness sessions.
The outreach teams, in collaboration with the Agriculture Extension Department, Government of the Punjab, visited various locations across the tehsils of Jand, Fateh Jang, Attock, Hassan Abdal, and Hazro. Throughout the campaign, faculty and students engaged with local farmers to share government new policy i.e. Government has increased the support price of wheat from Rs 3000 to Rs 3500 per maund, best agronomic practices, promote improved wheat varieties, and guide farmers on resource efficient production technologies to boost wheat yield in the region.
