* **فوراً پڑھنا:**

"Fasting on the Day of 'Arafah expiates the sins of the past year and the coming year." (Sahih Muslim)

Islamic scholars generally interpret this expiation to apply to minor sins, while major sins require sincere and specific repentance.
Who Should Fast?
Non-Pilgrims: It is highly encouraged for Muslims around the world who are observing the day from home.
Pilgrims: It is generally not recommended for those actively performing Hajj to fast. The Prophet (PBUH) did not fast while standing at Arafat, as pilgrims need their energy and strength for the intense prayer and physical demands of the day.
Expected Date for 2026
The Day of Arafah falls on the 9th of Dhu al-Hijjah. Based on the 2026 calendar, it is expected to be observed globally on:
Tuesday, May 26, 2026
Note: Because the Islamic calendar is lunar, the exact timing is always subject to the official sighting of the moon by local authorities. In Pakistan, the Ruet-e-Hilal Committee confirms the final dates for Dhu al-Hijjah and Eid al-Adha.
Other Recommended Acts
Even if you are unable to fast, the Day of Arafah is considered the best day of the year for worship and seeking mercy. Other highly recommended actions include:
Abundant Dua: The Prophet (PBUH) stated that the best supplication is the one made on the Day of Arafah.
Dhikr (Remembrance of Allah): Frequent recitation of the Tahleel (Laa ilaaha ill-Allah), Takbeer (Allahu Akbar), and Tahmeed (Alhamdulillah).
Seeking Forgiveness: It is the day Allah frees the most people from the fire of Hell.
According to a well-known Hadith, the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) stated that the best words spoken by him and the Prophets before him on the Day of Arafah are a specific declaration of faith and praise.
"The best supplication is the supplication on the Day of 'Arafah, and the best of what I and the Prophets before me have said is:" (Sunan at-Tirmidhi)
The Dua of Arafah
Transliteration:
Laa ilaaha ill-Allahu, wahdahu laa shareeka lahu, lahul-mulku wa lahul-hamdu, wa huwa 'alaa kulli shay'in Qadeer.
Translation:
"There is no deity worthy of worship but Allah alone, He has no partners, to Him belongs the dominion, to Him belongs all praise, and He has power over all things."
While this specific remembrance (dhikr) is the most highly recommended, the Day of Arafah is also an open time to make personal supplications in your own words. It is deeply encouraged to ask for forgiveness, guidance, and blessings for yourself, your family, and your students.

Understanding children involves recognizing their developmental stages, unique personalities, emotional needs, and the societal context in which they are growing up. It's a journey that requires patience, active listening, and a commitment to understanding their perspective
Here’s a breakdown of how to approach understanding children across different domains:

1. Recognizing Developmental Stages
Children go through distinct physical, cognitive, emotional, and social stages. Knowing what is typical for their age can help parents and caregivers set realistic expectations.

Infancy (0-1 year):
Focuses on building trust and security. Understanding their signals for hunger, tiredness, and discomfort is key.

Toddlerhood (1-3 years):
Marked by developing independence, language skills, and emotional outbursts (tantrums). Empathy and consistent boundaries are crucial.

Preschool (3-5 years):
Characterized by imaginative play, increasing social interaction, and early moral reasoning. Encouraging exploration and social skills is important.

School-Age (6-12 years):
Focuses on academic learning, developing friendships, and forming a sense of self. Supporting their interests and helping them navigate social dynamics is essential.

Adolescence (13-18 years):
A period of significant change, seeking independence, and exploring identity. Maintaining open communication and offering guidance while respecting their privacy is key.

2. Valuing Each Child's Unique Personality
Every child has their own temperament, strengths, challenges, and interests. Understanding their individuality helps you connect with them on a deeper level.
Temperament: Some children are naturally easygoing, while others are more sensitive or intense. Recognizing and accepting their innate traits can help you tailor your parenting approach.

Interests and Talents:
Pay attention to what they enjoy. Encourage their hobbies and passions, which can build self-esteem and provide opportunities for growth.

Learning Style:
Children learn in different ways—some are visual, some auditory, and some kinesthetic. Understanding how they learn best can help you support their education.

3. Understanding Emotional Needs
Children's behaviors are often driven by underlying emotional needs. It's crucial to look beyond the behavior to understand the feeling behind it.
Need for Connection: Every child needs to feel loved, accepted, and connected to their caregivers. Spend quality time, offer physical affection, and validate their feelings.
Need for Security: Children thrive when they feel safe and secure. Predictable routines, consistent boundaries, and a supportive environment help create this sense of safety.
Need for Autonomy: As children grow, they need opportunities to make choices and develop a sense of control over their lives. Offer age-appropriate choices and encourage their independence.
4. Considering the Broader Context
In today's world, understanding children also means considering the influences outside the home, such as technology and social media. These factors can significantly impact their development, relationships, and well-being. It's important to provide guidance and set appropriate boundaries in these areas.
