The Proctorial Board Investiture Ceremony 2026 was held at school today.. The Principal addressed the newly appointed Proctorial Board after the oath-taking cermony.

The Principal congratulated the Head Girl, Cgief proctors, and all student proctors on being selected for their exemplary conduct and leadership qualities.

She reminded the board that "A proctor doesn't enforce rules, she inspires respect for them." Their primary duty is to guide fellow students, not to command them.

The Principal emphasized that leadership is not about rank, it’s about responsibility. The sash and badge are symbols of trust placed in them by the school and their peers.

She stated, "You are not just monitors of discipline — you are mirrors of character." Every student proctor must first display the discipline, punctuality, and integrity they expect from others.

The board was advised to "Lead with humility, correct with kindness." Firmness in duty must be balanced with compassion in approach.

In her closing remarks, the Principal said, "From today, whole school will look up to you. Make sure they see integrity." She urged them to use their authority with accountability and fairness.

The Principal concluded by expressing full confidence in the new board and assured them of the staff’s complete support in maintaining the school’s standards of discipline and decorum.

Today, I felt immense happiness after seeing this good news on social media that the Director of Elementary and Secondary Education visited Government girls Centennial Model Higher Secondary School No. 1 Abbottabad and appreciated the efforts of محترمہ Principal Ishrat Zakir.
Indeed, this recognition is the result of her tireless hard work, sincerity, and excellent leadership. محترمہ Principal has not only focused on the repair and beautification of the school building but has also significantly improved the academic system.
Two years ago, when she joined this institution, the hostel was on the verge of closure. However, with the efforts of the guardians, it was saved. Later, محترمہ Ishrat Zakir reactivated the hostel, resumed admissions for the girls, and organized its system in an excellent manner. Today, the girls residing in the hostel are not only succeeding academically but are also receiving moral training.
My own daughter has been studying in this hostel for the past four years, and I can confidently say that the educational and moral environment here is exemplary. محترمہ Principal also resolved important issues such as the appointment of a warden, which further improved the care of the students.
We pray to Allah Almighty to grant محترمہ Ishrat Zakir more success and honor her in this world and the Hereafter. Likewise, may all the teaching and non-teaching staff of the school be blessed with progress and happiness.

Worthy Director E&SE Worthy Madam Naghmana Sardar paid a surprise visit to the District Education Office Abbottabad and GGCM School No. 1. During her visit, she appreciated the efforts of the DEO (Female) Abbottabad and the school administration of GGCM School No. 1. The school building reflected the meticulous dedication of the Headmistress Madam Ishrat Zakir, where each part of the institution narrated a story of care, discipline, and cleanliness. She commended the well-maintained environment and the collective efforts of the entire team. Special appreciation was extended to DEO (Female) Abbottabad, Madam Aisha Saeed, for her effective leadership and commitment to excellence.

Preciously known as Govt Gobind Girls High School, Abbottabad. School has a British-era building with E shape layout, for light and ventilation, discipline and surveillance, still teaching, still strong.
When we say “education is forever,” this is what it means.
This building is a historical site and is of huge importance to the abbottabad and the education of the city.
