Women Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences Launches Comprehensive Rehabilitation Services – Upcoming Launch

Dr. Romana Pervez, Speech and Language Pathologist at Women Institute of Rehabilitation Sciences Abbottabad, raises awareness about the importance of timely speech and language therapy. Early identification and intervention can make a remarkable difference in a child's development and an adult's quality of life.

The institute will soon launch comprehensive rehabilitation services for children and adults, supporting conditions including delayed speech, hearing impairment, Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down syndrome, voice disorders, swallowing difficulties, cleft lip and palate, post-stroke communication challenges, and stammering.

Our vision is to provide accessible, evidence-based, multidisciplinary care under one roof. We invite parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to join us in promoting awareness and reducing stigma.

The Tree Plantation Drive 2026 was successfully hosted at the Women Institute of Learning and Rehabilitation Sciences (WILRS), Abbottabad, reinforcing our shared commitment to environmental sustainability and institutional social responsibility.

The event was made possible through the collaborative efforts of Women Medical College Abbottabad, WILRS, the Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Pakistan Medical Association (KPK), Medical Women Association of Pakistan (KPK Chapter), and Inner Wheel Club Mushkpuri Abbottabad. The Department of Pharmacy, Women Institute of Learning and Rehabilitation Sciences (WIL), Abbottabad, was pleased to participate in the Third International Pharmacy Conference & Exhibition, held under the theme "Bridging Academia, Pharmaceutical Industry, Regulatory Authorities, & Clinical Practice."
