Army Burn Hall College for Girls,Abbottabad Burn Hall was established at Srinagar in 1943 by the Fathers of Mill Hill, London. It was then a hotel building, which was converted into a small school.

It was named after an English Manor House (Hall) with a small stream (Burn) running through it. After partition in 1948, it was shifted to its present location in Abbottabad. As the number of students increased, new blocks were added. In 1956, a separate building was constructed at a new site and Classes VII to Senior Cambridge were shifted there and named as Senior Burn Hall. However, the Junior

School retained its traditional character as a residential public school for boys upto Class VI. Burn Hall School was then run by a missionary organization called Diocesan Board of Education Rawalpindi. In 1975-76, due to certain insurmountable management problems, the Board sold the institution to the Pakistan Army. Accordingly, on 13th January 1977, it was renamed Army Burn Hall School. It was upgraded to an intermediate college in 1991 and is now known as Army Burn Hall College for Girls. Graduate (level) classes commenced from July 1999 and MA/Msc classes, from 2003. The construction of the new College Wing was started in 2007 and has recently been completed. It has become functional housing college level classes.
