OFFICIAL STATEMENT
FROM: The Office of the School Head, Bacungan National High School
DATE: June 24, 2026
SUBJECT: Official Statement on Constructive Dialogue, Child Protection, and Responsible Social Media Engagement
Bacungan National High School remains steadfast in its commitment to providing a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where the welfare of our learners and the integrity of our community are prioritized above all else.
In light of recent events and the increasing tendency to air grievances on social media, the school administration issues this official statement to reinforce our protocols on conflict resolution, child protection, and responsible digital citizenship.
As an educational institution, we deeply value the feedback, concerns, and collaboration of our parents, guardians, and community stakeholders. We recognize that when incidents occur affecting our learners, emotions can run high. However, we must firmly remind the public that social media platforms, such as Facebook, are not the proper venues to address or resolve school-related disputes, personal predicaments, or grievances.
Publicly posting unverified details, naming minors, or tagging the institution before an official investigation is conducted leads to critical ramifications:
VIOLATION OF CHILD PROTECTION & PRIVACY: Publicly discussing sensitive incidents involving minors compromises their safety, violates established child protection policies, and exposes children to psychological distress and cyberbullying.
PROLIFERATION OF MISINFORMATION: Social media posts often lack complete administrative context, which unnecessarily sensationalizes controllable situations and causes ungrounded panic within the community.
DEFAMATION OF THE INSTITUTION: Unwarranted public call-outs unfairly defame the hard-earned reputation of Bacungan National High School and its dedicated educators, even while internal mechanismsโsuch as the School Discipline Committee and the Child Protection Committeeโare already actively resolving the matter on the ground.
OUR ADMINISTRATIVE POLICY AND CALL TO ACTION:
We formally appeal to and direct all parents, guardians, and stakeholders to practice accountability, respect, and due process.
If you have any complaints, conflicts, or urgent concerns regarding our learners or school operations, do not post them online. Instead, visit the school office personally to report the matter directly to the proper school authorities (Class Advisers, Department Heads, the Guidance Office, or the Office of the School Head).
Our administration maintains an open-door policy. We are fully equipped and ready to facilitate immediate, objective investigations and peaceful, amicable dialogues to resolve any issue constructively and legally.
Let us remain true partners in education, molding our youth not through online division, but through integrity, mutual respect, and proper administrative channels.
