Social Responsibility in Action: A Community Visitation Program for Our Elderly.

Last Monday, February 2, the Business Administration Department, together with its Department Head, Mrs. Ma. Socorro F. Cipriano, conducted a visitation to the Home for the Elderly in Talon-Talon.

The visitation was carried out in accordance with the subject course of the 2nd Year BSBA on Social Responsibility. This activity aimed to promote social responsibility by fostering compassion, empathy, and a sense of civic duty among students.

Visiting the elderly is an important expression of social responsibility, as it promotes care, dignity, and meaningful human connection. Through sincere interaction and companionship, students were able to respond to the emotional and social needs of the elderly residents while gaining a deeper understanding that social responsibility goes beyond activities such as dancing and singing.

The visitation emphasized that service is not centered on the students themselves, but on fostering genuine connection and prioritizing the well-being of those being served within the community.

In solidarity with the Philippine Commission on Women’s (PCW) advocacy to end online sexual abuse and exploitation of children, the ICAS Tetuan College Department, in collaboration with the Office of the Dean of Student Affairs, and BS-Business Administration Department, proudly presents the award-winning Anti-OSAEC-CSAEM campaign videos, “Mirror” and “Play.”

These thought-provoking and emotionally powerful short films shed light on the alarming realities of online child exploitation and the urgent need to safeguard children in today’s digital landscape. Acclaimed both nationally and internationally for their creative excellence and strong social impact, these films serve as compelling reminders of our collective duty to foster a safer, more compassionate online world for every child.
