In commemoration of Araw ng Kagitingan, we honor the extraordinary courage and selfless sacrifice of our heroes whose unwavering spirit shaped the freedom we enjoy today. Their bravery stands as a timeless reminder that true heroism is rooted in love for one’s country—isang pagmamahal na handang magsakripisyo para sa nakararami.

Today, that same spirit of valor lives on, not only in history books but in the choices we make as leaders and servants of the community. As members of Rotaract, we are called to translate this legacy into meaningful action—serving with integrity, leading with purpose, at patuloy na tumutugon sa pangangailangan ng ating kapwa.

May this day inspire us to rise above challenges and remain steadfast in our commitment to create positive change. In honoring their legacy, we reaffirm our mission to lead with courage, serve with compassion, at maging tunay na katuwang sa paghubog ng mas makatarungan at maunlad na lipunan.

RACWMSU'S March Monthly Meeting has been called to order by its President, Pres. Nadz last March 22, 2026. The meeting discussed various stuff including but not limited to discussion on women's month celebration with a special project, a webinar aimed to raise awareness and support for members living with PCOS along with free sanitary napkins initiatives for wmsu students in need. Also, club members were also reminded to settle their club dues and pay on time so that future projects may be well funded and supported.

As International Women’s Month 2026 comes to a close, we reflect with pride on a meaningful and empowering initiative that raised awareness about a significant global public health concern: Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS), one of the most common hormonal disorders affecting women.

The Rotaract Club of Western Mindanao State University, together with its partner organizations, successfully conducted a webinar titled “Know Your Cycle: Polycystic O***y Syndrome (PCOS) Awareness Webinar” last March 29, 2026. The event brought together participants eager to learn, engage, and deepen their understanding of PCOS.

The webinar featured insightful talks from distinguished speakers. Prof. Hazel Utatalum from the WMSU College of Nursing led the discussion on “What is PCOS?: Learning About the Symptoms, Prevention, and Treatment,” providing participants with essential knowledge on recognizing and managing the condition. Meanwhile, Prof. Magnolia Grefalde from the WMSU College of Liberal Arts Psychology Department delivered an inspiring talk titled “Shining Light: Overcoming Body Image Struggles with PCOS,” encouraging self-acceptance, confidence, and resilience among individuals suffering from PCOS.

Through these sessions, participants gained a deeper understanding of PCOS, not only as a medical condition but also as an experience that affects physical, emotional, and mental health.

As we move forward beyond Women’s Month, may this initiative continue to spark awareness, inspire advocacy, and promote a culture of empathy and support. Let’s continue to break the silence and stigma surrounding important health issues such as PCOS and stand for better health and well-being for all.

President Elect Jenica Joy Gemina had the opportunity to attend PROCON ILOILO 2026. ✨✨

She shares her experience with this years convention:

"PROCON Iloilo was truly magical. It has cemented itself as one of the most impactful experiences of my lifes journey so far. As someone new to the club, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was met with such warmth and inclusivity from start to finish.

I’m incredibly grateful for the learning sessions and the meaningful conversations I shared with fellow changemakers. Meeting so many like-minded individuals united by a single mission was very inspiring.

This experience will forever be in my heart.
