We received an overwhelming number of outstanding submissions, and our panel of judges had a difficult task in selecting the best essays. After careful consideration and evaluation, we are pleased to reveal the winners in each category:

Ang 𝐀𝐫𝐚𝐰 𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐠𝐚 𝐁𝐚𝐲𝐚𝐧𝐢 ay pagkakataon upang balikan ang mga kakaibang kontribusyon ng mga indibidwal na ito at kilalanin ang malalim na epekto na kanilang iniwan sa ating lipunan.

Sa paggunita natin sa Araw ng mga Bayani, hindi lamang natin itinatangi ang kanilang mga pangalan at kuwento, kundi tayo rin ay nagpapasya na itaguyod ang mga halagang kanilang ipinaglaban.

Magkaisa tayo sa pagbuo ng isang lipunan na nagpapahalaga sa katarungan, pagkakasama, at progreso. Siguruhin natin na ang kanilang pamana ay patuloy na mabuhay sa pamamagitan ng ating mga kilos at pagmamalasakit sa paglikha ng mas mabuting kinabukasan para sa lahat.

In Celebration of History month, the History Department concluded an Essay writing contest with a theme '𝑷𝒂𝒈𝒑𝒂𝒑𝒂𝒍𝒂𝒚𝒂 𝒏𝒈 𝑲𝒂𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒔𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏 𝒑𝒂𝒓𝒂 𝒔𝒂 𝑺𝒂𝒎𝒃𝒂𝒚𝒂𝒏𝒂𝒏'.

This contest was a showcase of the incredible creativity, depth of thought, and passion for expression that our participants brought to the table. The diversity of topics and perspectives explored left us inspired and humbled.

Through those essays, we explored uncharted territories of knowledge and empathy. From personal narratives to thought-provoking analyses, each entry was a window into a unique world of insights.

The WMSU History Department from the College of Liberal Arts is celebrating its 𝙉𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝙃𝙞𝙨𝙩𝙤𝙧𝙮 𝙈𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙝 2023 with a theme: 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙥𝙖𝙥𝙖𝙡𝙖𝙮𝙖 𝙣𝙜 𝙆𝙖𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙨𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣 𝙥𝙖𝙧𝙖 𝙨𝙖 𝙎𝙖𝙢𝙗𝙖𝙮𝙖𝙣𝙖𝙣.

In line with this, there will be an 𝙊𝙣 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙎𝙥𝙤𝙩 𝘼𝙧𝙩 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙨𝙩! The competition will be held on Saturday, August 26, 2023, at the History Department. It will start at 8:00 AM until 12:00 PM. The last registration will be tomorrow, August 25, 2023 until 4:00 PM Only!

𝙂𝙐𝙄𝘿𝙀𝙇𝙄𝙉𝙀𝙎:
1. Open to all History Major Students only
2. Medium to be used are any of the following:
a. Pastel
b. Crayons
c. Paint
d. Markers
e. others
3. Prizes will be given to the top 3 winners
4. Criteria for judging will be announced on the day of the competition.

The Quiz Bowl Competition will take place at the CLA 5 at exactly 3:00 PM.

To the participants, please bring your own pilot pen or marker.

The cash prizes are increased to:
-The Champion will receive a cash prize of ₱1,200
-The First Placer will receive a cash prize of ₱800.00
-The Second Placer will receive a cash prize of ₱600.00
-And the Third Placer will receive a cash prize of ₱400.00
