โ€œHome is where children learn firstโ€ means that a childโ€™s earliest and most lasting lessons begin within the family, long before formal schooling starts. At home, children first learn how to communicate, behave, relate with others, manage emotions, follow rules, and understand what is right and wrong. They learn these lessons not only through what parents tell them, but more importantly through what they repeatedly observe in the adults around them.

The home also establishes the foundation for a childโ€™s success in school. When parents encourage curiosity, provide routines, supervise schoolwork, listen to their child, and demonstrate that education is important, children are more likely to develop responsibility, confidence, discipline, and a positive attitude toward learning.

Schools can teach academic knowledge and reinforce good values, but they cannot completely replace what is learned at home. Education works best when the home and the school become partners. Teachers may guide children for several hours each day, but parents continue to influence how those lessons are practiced and lived beyond the classroom.

When strong values are planted at home and strengthened at school, we help raise children who are not only academically capable, but also responsible, respectful, compassionate, and prepared for life.
