Aftercare Program for RPWUDs under CSWDO-Valenzuela

"I may have failed once, but that doesn't mean I failed in LIFE too"

Last January 25, 2025, We conducted our first Aftercare Monthly group session at the Seminar Room, ALERT Center, Malinta, Valenzuela City, which was attended by our beloved clients and their relatives.

One of the highlights was the discussion about the stages of change towards recovery for the participants to identify and re-assess their current situations.

Likewise, "kamustahan" about their own ways to celebrate the recent holiday season and their plans for this "New year" while continuing their recovery.

Further, through the Department of Social Welfare and Development - Social Technology Bureau's YAKAP BAYAN PROGRAM, we can make a big diffence to everyone's life.

"Hindi lang basta SESSION!!!!"

Nitong ika-24 ng Nobyembre taong 2024 ay matagumpay nating isinakatuparan ang SIPAG (Simula ng Pag-asa) Graduation Day at diskusyon patungkol sa ika-12 modyul nito na tumatalakay sa PAG-PASA na dinaluhan ng ating mga mahal na RPWUD na mga kliyente at kanilang mga ka-anak.

Ang SIPAG program ay isa sa mga programang tumatalakay sa ispirituwal na aspetong pangangailangan ng isang tao, higit lalo sa gaya ng ating mga kliyente na maaring naligaw lamang ng landas dahil sa iba't ibang dagok ng buhay at sa pamamagitan ng muling pagkakaroon ng pananampalataya sa may kapal ay maaring maging daan nila upang tuluyang maging matuwid sa kani-kanilang pamumuhay.

Dagdag dito, ay taos puso naming ipinababatid ang aming pasasalamat sa ating butihing mga pastor mula sa Jesus Our Life (JOL) Christian Church, sa pamumuno ni Pastora Elvira Ting, kasama sina Pastor Darwin Libarra, Pastor Arnel Laureta at Pastor Vher Dela Cruz.

The CSWDO Aftercare Program commenced with the conduct of its Spiritual Sessions last September 1, 2024 with the help of our volunteer pastors from the Jesus our Life Christian Church- Valenzuela City.

The Spiritual Sessions under the ACP will be held weekly starting September 1-November 17, 2024. All Recovering Persons Who Used Drugs (RPWUDs) under the CSWDO-ACP, as well as their families, are being invited and encouraged to attend the same.

Even this early, the CSWDO-ACP would like to extend its utmost gratitude and appreciation to the invaluable participation of our volunteer pastors from the Jesus Our Life Christian Church- Valenzuela City, as well as to our BS Social Work Interns from the Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Valenzuela, for their assistance and contribution to the wholistic recovery of our clients.

The CSWDO-Aftercare program held its quarterly Family Session last September 26, 2024. The said session was attended by the immediate family members and relatives of Recovering Persons Who Used Drugs (RPWUDs) and was facilitated through the invaluable participation of Ms. Ana Liza Guiao of the Valenzuela Cooperative Development Office, and Ms. Ligaya Antonio, Harleemar Pagaduan, Thelma Funa from the Livelihood Office.

Our resource persons imparted key insights on financial literacy as well as practical skills and training in siomai and tocino making.

Upcoming Family Session!

Isinagawa ang ikalawang (2nd) Simula ng Pag-Asa (SiPAg)- Spiritual Session session noong September 8, 2024, sa pangunguna ng Jesus Our Life Christian Church na kung saan pinag usapan ang tungkol sa "Pagpapatawad".

Ang pagpapatawad ay hindi pag limot kundi pagharap sa kaganapan. Ito ay pagsuko sa Panginoon ng ating pinagdadaanan at magtiwala na gagamitin niya ito para sa ating ikabubuti. Pagsuko sa Panginoon ng mga taong nakasakit sa atin.

Continuous sobriety reminder even on BER months!!

Last September 1, 2024, the CSWDO Aftercare unit conducted our yearly SPIRITUAL SESSIONS through the Jesus Our Lord Christian Church's Pastors leaded by Pastora Elvira Ting, via ZOOM Application.

The 1st sessions entitles "DISENYO NG DIYOS PARA SA PAMILYA" gave emphasis to the importance of family to recovery.

This is a continuous session of 12, running from September 1 to November 17, 2024.

"Brigada Eskwela 2024 at Malinta Elementary School kicks-off through the CSWDO-Aftercare Unit Valenzuela City and our beloved Recovering Persons Who Used Drugs (RPWUDs) with their supportive relatives last July 21, 2024 (Sunday)."

The said event was not only attended by our ongoing Aftercare clients but also our recovered graduates from batch 2022 and 2023.

Likewise, the cleaning materials were extended to MES through their Principal Dr. Lilibeth S. Gozo and supportive teacher / coordinator Ms. Elizabeth De Castro, after the cleaning session at one of the buildings and activity stage.

Hoping for another year of fruitful activity free from illegal drug use :)

Sa darating na July 21, 2024 ang Aftercare program kasama ang aming mga ONGOING CLIENTS at kanilang RELATIVES ay makikilahok muli sa darating na BRIGADA ESKWELA 2024 sa ating butihing paaralan ng Malinta Elementary School.

LOOK: The CSWD-Aftercare Program conducted a Family and Sports Day Activity at the Valenzuela City Sports Park on June 23, 2024. It was participated by the RWPUDs under the program and their supportive family. The Zumba and Physical Activities enjoyed by the participants’ aims to lift mood, improve self-esteem, and promote camaraderie.
