Developed by Dr. Pagente, the SAIT-ISF serves as the institutionโ€™s integrative framework that harmonizes innovation, sustainability, research, digital transformation, community engagement, and global visibility initiatives into a unified strategic structure. The framework organizes institutional efforts into eight interconnected dimensions, supported by key enablers that ensure coherence, accountability, and long-term impact.

The CIRCLE Cycle is designed as a continuous improvement mechanism and positioned as an alternative to the traditional PDCA (Planโ€“Doโ€“Checkโ€“Act) model. While PDCA emphasizes linear process control, the CIRCLE Cycle advances a more reflective, adaptive, and evolutionary approach to innovationโ€”ensuring that institutional initiatives are not only implemented but also continuously refined, learned from, and scaled for greater impact.

The official registration and deposit of the SAIT-ISF and its operational CIRCLE Cycle reinforce SAITโ€™s commitment to originality, intellectual stewardship, and strategic institutional development. By securing intellectual property protection and formal documentation, the institution affirms its dedication to safeguarding its internally developed models while strengthening its position as an innovation-driven and globally engaged higher education institution.

This achievement marks another important step in SAITโ€™s journey toward excellence, sustainable transformation, and visionary leadership in innovation and institutional governance.

The Office of the Vice President for Research, Planning, and Academic Advancement (OVPRPAA), through the Global Engagement Office, officially launched Project Global SAIT on November 18, 2025 via Zoom, marking the institutionโ€™s formal entry into internationalization and global ranking initiatives.

Project Global SAIT serves as both a campaign and a movement aimed at strengthening SAITโ€™s global engagement, innovation, and sustainability agenda. As its initial activity, the OVPRPAA conducted a seminar designed to level off institutional understanding of global engagement, innovation, sustainability, and global ranking, while also guiding participants in repackaging existing institutional practices to align with the United Nationsโ€™ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the categories and criteria of the World University Rankings for Innovation.

The online seminar was participated in by SAITโ€™s top management and middle managers, underscoring strong institutional commitment and leadership support for the global direction of the school. Through this initiative, SAIT aims to strategically position its programs, projects, and practices for greater international visibility and impact.

The launch of Project Global SAIT highlights OVPRPAAโ€™s proactive approach in preparing the institution for global competitiveness, fostering a shared vision and collective responsibility toward innovation, sustainability, and meaningful global engagement.

After more than a year of intensive strategic planning covering Phases 1 to 6, the Office of the Vice President for Research, Planning, and Academic Advancement (OVPRPAA) officially launched its flagship initiative, the SAIT DigiPLAN, on November 18, 2025 via Zoom, marking a major milestone in the institutionโ€™s planning and governance journey.

The SAIT DigiPLAN is a digital planning and monitoring system designed to harmonize SAITโ€™s strategic and operational plans. Through automation, the system enables real-time computation and tracking of Key Result Areas (KRAs), strategic objectives, Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), and operational plans per process ownerโ€”strengthening data-driven decision-making and institutional accountability.

The successful development of DigiPLAN was made possible through the collaboration of SAITโ€™s IT team and expert consultants from the University of Mindanao, particularly Dr. Melvin B. Manayon, Assistant Vice President for Academic Assessment, and Dr. Ronnie V. Amorado, Senior Vice President. Their guidance contributed significantly to aligning the system with best practices in academic assessment, strategic performance monitoring, and continuous improvement.

The OVPRPAA also expressed gratitude to Sr. Teresita S. Sajelan, MCM, School President, and to SAIT colleagues for their consistent support of institutional innovations. The launch of SAIT DigiPLAN underscores SAITโ€™s commitment to innovation, transparency, and excellence as it advances toward its long-term strategic goals.

On November 14, 2025, Dr. Dickson Pagente, Vice President for Research, Planning, and Academic Advancement of San Agustin Institute of Technology (SAIT), together with the schoolโ€™s IT services provider, held a strategic consultation with Dr. Melvin B. Manayon, Assistant Vice President for Academic Assessment of the University of Mindanao.

The consultation focused on the further development and refinement of the SAIT DigiPLAN, the institutionโ€™s digital strategic and operational planning system. Drawing from the University of Mindanaoโ€™s experience in academic assessment, quality assurance, and data-driven planning, Dr. Manayon provided expert insights on aligning DigiPLAN with institutional performance monitoring, outcomes-based assessment, and continuous improvement mechanisms.

The engagement forms part of SAITโ€™s broader efforts to strengthen its planning and governance systems through benchmarking and collaboration with leading higher education institutions. Insights gathered from the consultation are expected to enhance DigiPLANโ€™s functionality as a decision-support and monitoring tool in support of SAITโ€™s strategic directions toward innovation, quality assurance, and institutional excellence.

San Agustin Institute of Technology (SAIT) continued to strengthen its institutional direction with the conduct of the Target and Weight Setting Session online as part of its ongoing 2025โ€“2030 Strategic Planning process.

The session, facilitated by Dr. Dickson P. Pagente, Vice President for Research, Planning, and Academic Advancement (OVPRPAA), gathered office, unit, and department heads, together with top management, to collaboratively set performance targets and assign appropriate weights to each Key Performance Indicator (KPI).

During the activity, participants carefully discussed and agreed on which objectives should be given greater emphasis. It was underscored that higher weights indicate greater prioritization and a higher degree of difficulty to achieve, while lower weights signify less demanding but still important KPIs. This exercise ensures fairness and accountability in evaluating the performance of every office and unit, while also aligning priorities with SAITโ€™s long-term vision.

By engaging its leaders in a transparent and participatory process, SAIT reinforces its commitment to quality assurance and continuous improvement. The agreed targets and weights will serve as a concrete basis for monitoring institutional progress toward becoming a leading private Catholic educational institution in Northern Mindanao by 2030.

The event was spearheaded by the Office of the Vice President for Research, Planning, and Academic Advancement (OVPRPAA) as part of SAITโ€™s continuing commitment to quality assurance and institutional development.

With the knowledge gained from the workshop, SAIT aims to enhance its capacity to monitor, evaluate, and achieve its strategic goals, ensuring that the institution remains responsive to the needs of society while staying true to its Catholic identity.
