San Agustin Institute of Technology (SAIT), through its Research Center, proudly recognized its faculty awardees for research excellence, celebrating outstanding achievements in research advising and international scholarly presentation, during the SAIT Personnel Day and Christmas Party on December 19, 2025 at SAIT Gym.

Honored as 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗲𝗿𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗔𝗱𝘃𝗶𝘀𝗲𝗿𝘀 were Dr. Gart R. Solatorio and Maam Marjorie G. Resullar, whose mentorship and guidance significantly contributed to the advancement of student research works.

Meanwhile, Sir Elson E. Pastrano, a college faculty, received a 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 for his paper titled “𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑬𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒄𝒔 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔: 𝑨 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒊𝒂𝒏 𝑪𝒂𝒔𝒆 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒂𝒍 𝑪𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒛𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒉𝒊𝒑,” presented on November 13–14, 2025 at Central Mindanao University, Musuan, Bukidnon.

Dr. Jocelyn C. Dr. Jocelyn C. 𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐨𝐧 — 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. The SAIT Research Center convened a Monitoring Meeting with faculty researchers who have active research projects for Academic Years 2023–2024 and 2024–2025.

The session was facilitated by Dr. Dickson P. Pagente, Research Director and Vice President for Research, Planning, and Academic Advancement (VPRPAA). The meeting served as a venue for faculty researchers to provide progress updates on their ongoing studies, share challenges encountered during implementation, and discuss strategies for timely completion and dissemination of results.

Dr. Pagente emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring in ensuring that research projects remain aligned with institutional priorities and contribute meaningfully to SAIT’s vision. He also highlighted how monitoring strengthens accountability and provides opportunities for mentoring and technical support.

The participating faculty researchers engaged in productive discussions, presenting the status of their respective projects while receiving feedback and guidance from the Research Center. The activity reinforced SAIT’s commitment to nurturing a vibrant research culture and supporting its faculty in achieving research excellence.

By holding regular monitoring meetings, SAIT ensures that its research agenda is not only implemented effectively but also produces outputs that can positively impact the institution, the community, and society at large.

𝐕𝐚𝐥𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐢𝐚 𝐂𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐁𝐮𝐤𝐢𝐝𝐧𝐨𝐧 — 𝐉𝐮𝐧𝐞 𝟐𝟖–𝟐𝟗, 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟓. San Agustin Institute of Technology (SAIT), through its Research Center, successfully conducted the 3rd Research Capability-Building Seminar with the theme “𝑺𝒕𝒓𝒆𝒏𝒈𝒕𝒉𝒆𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉 𝑭𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒅𝒂𝒕𝒊𝒐𝒏𝒔: 𝑹𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒇𝒐𝒓𝒄𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑷𝒊𝒍𝒍𝒂𝒓𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝑸𝒖𝒂𝒍𝒊𝒕𝒚 𝑹𝒆𝒔𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒄𝒉.” The two-day event aimed to enhance the research competencies of faculty members and reinforce SAIT’s commitment to research excellence.

The seminar was facilitated by Dr. Dickson P. Pagente, Research Director and Vice President for Research, Planning, and Academic Advancement (OVPRPAA) and Julsar T. Calonia, LPT, MSA - Research Associate. Dr. Pagente opened the sessions with “𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐖𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠: 𝐀 𝐁𝐚𝐜𝐤-𝐭𝐨-𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐒𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐫,” guiding participants in revisiting essential research principles and effective writing practices.

Meanwhile, Sir Calonia presented “𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐀𝐈𝐓 𝐔𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐝 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐅𝐨𝐫𝐦𝐚𝐭 𝟐.𝟎: 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞, 𝐒𝐭𝐲𝐥𝐞, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝𝐬,” which introduced updates to the institution’s official undergraduate research format, ensuring consistency, academic rigor, and alignment with global standards.

Faculty researchers and members of the Research Advisory Committee actively participated in discussions, workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities. The seminar provided them with practical tools and updated guidelines to strengthen their role in mentoring student researchers and producing quality scholarly work.

The SAIT Research Center emphasized that initiatives like this form part of its continuing mission to foster a culture of research and innovation within the institution. By capacitating its faculty and refining institutional research standards, SAIT reaffirms its dedication to producing impactful research that responds to both local and global needs.

𝗝𝗲𝗻𝘆 𝗝𝗼𝘆 𝗖. 𝗡𝗮𝗯𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗻, a 4th-year Bachelor of Elementary Education student, emerged as a double awardee during the 2𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙣𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣𝙖𝙡 𝘾𝙤𝙣𝙛𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚 𝙤𝙣 𝘿𝙖𝙩𝙖 𝙎𝙘𝙞𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙞𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙞𝙖𝙡 𝙄𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙞𝙜𝙚𝙣𝙘𝙚, 𝘾𝙤𝙢𝙥𝙪𝙩𝙞𝙣𝙜, 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙄𝙣𝙛𝙤𝙧𝙢𝙖𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙏𝙚𝙘𝙝𝙣𝙤𝙡𝙤𝙜𝙮 2025, organized by the International Society of Transdisciplinary Researchers, Educators, and Leaders, Inc. on August 24, 2025 via Zoom.

Nabalan captured the spotlight with her team’s study entitled “𝒯𝑒𝒶𝒸𝒽𝑒𝓇𝓈' 𝒯𝑒𝒶𝒸𝒽𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒮𝓉𝓇𝒶𝓉𝑒𝑔𝒾𝑒𝓈 𝒶𝓃𝒹 𝒾𝓉𝓈 𝐼𝓂𝓅𝒶𝒸𝓉 𝑜𝓃 𝒮𝓉𝓊𝒹𝑒𝓃𝓉𝓈' 𝒞𝓇𝒾𝓉𝒾𝒸𝒶𝓁 𝒯𝒽𝒾𝓃𝓀𝒾𝓃𝑔 𝒮𝓀𝒾𝓁𝓁𝓈.” Her compelling presentation earned her the 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗔𝗯𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱 and the coveted title of 𝗕𝗲𝘀𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿, standing out among researchers from across the country.

Speaking with humility and gratitude, Nabalan dedicated her success to her groupmates—Kenna Claire L. Arandez, Juleen Grace A. Mancio, Princess May G. Java, and Mark Jheszain F. Salisali—acknowledging their constant support and teamwork throughout their research journey.

The recognition not only highlights the brilliance of SAIT’s young researchers but also reflects the institution’s growing reputation in the field of research and innovation. With this victory, SAIT once again proves that its students are capable of making a mark on the international stage.
