EUREKA is a mobile science classroom and laboratory facility that aims to update and upgrade the content and pedagogical competence of elementary and secondary science and mathematics (S*M) teachers.It is equipped with various laboratory and state-of-the-art information and communications technology (ICT) facilities. Eureka will be used as venue to train S*M teachers from various schools in the c
ountry where there are limited or no ICT facility and laboratory equipment.. EUREKA features 10 desk workstations, trainor’s station, laboratory equipment and facilities such as: 11 laptop computers, printer, LED projector, projector screen, television set, DVD player, wireless internet access, public address system, glasswares, microscopes, courseware, etc. EUREKA is designed to hold 20 teachers and one trainer or lecturer at a given time. It serves public elementary and secondary schools, but is also available to deliver services in larger group settings such as science and technology fairs and other events. EUREKA will serve as a venue for the teacher-training programs to be conducted by the various projects of the Science Education Institute Division (SEID) of the Science Education Institute (SEI).
