Today, we celebrate the Feast Day of 𝐒𝐭. 𝐑𝐨𝐬𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐋𝐢𝐦𝐚, a woman of profound faith and devotion who dedicated her life to severe penance, prayer, and serving the poor and sick in society. Her unwavering devotion reminds us that true faith calls us to embrace our daily sacrifices wholeheartedly and remain steadfast even through life’s trials and challenges.

May St. Rose inspire us to carry our own crosses with courage, trust in God’s plan for us, and keep Christ at the center of our lives. ✨🌹

“𝑺𝒂𝒍𝒗𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒈𝒊𝒏𝒂, 𝑴𝒂𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝑴𝒊𝒔𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒄𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒊𝒂𝒆”

Every 22nd of August, the Church celebrates the Memorial of the Queenship of the Blessed Virgin Mary, honoring her as the Queen of Heaven and Earth. This celebration comes eight days after the Solemnity of the Assumption. It reminds us of Mary's place in God's plan and her continuing role as the Mother who leads us closer to Christ. The memorial was established by Pope Pius XII in 1954 and was later moved to August 22 in 1969.

Mary's queenship is not centered on power. Instead, it is all about her humility, faith, and complete trust in God. She showed what it means to faithfully respond to God's call and remain devoted to Christ throughout her life. Today is a beautiful reminder for all of us to mirror her obedience, love, and heart for service in our own daily lives in our journey to getting closer to Christ.

𝗔 𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝗲 𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗸 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗴𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻.

Today marks the assassination of former Senator Benigno "Ninoy" Aquino Jr. in 1983.

Senator Aquino was one of the fiercest critics of the authoritarian regime of then-President Ferdinand Marcos. Following the declaration of Martial Law in 1972, Aquino was arrested and imprisoned for nearly eight years. After suffering a severe heart attack, he was allowed to leave the country in 1980 for medical treatment in the United States, where he lived in exile.

Despite knowing the grave risks to his life, Aquino decided to return to the Philippines on 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮𝟭, 𝟭𝟵𝟴𝟯, to peacefully challenge the dictatorship and urge Marcos to restore democracy. As he stepped off his flight at the Manila International Airport (now renamed Ninoy Aquino International Airport), he was assassinated. His tragic death sent shockwaves across the country, serving as the catalyst that galvanized the opposition, united a divided nation, and ultimately led to the 1986 People Power Revolution.

In this trying times, let his legacy of bravery, patriotism, and love for democracy continue to 𝗶𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗶𝗿𝗲 𝘂𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘁𝗵, 𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗻𝘀𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺.

Asahan ang iba’t ibang patimpalak at gawaing magpapakita ng husay, talento, at pagkamalikhain ng mga mag-aaral. Hinihikayat ang lahat na makilahok at makiisa sa pagdiriwang na nagtatampok sa ating wika, kultura, at pagkakakilanlan bilang mga Pilipino.

Despite the class suspensions, the Grade 10 students of Our Lady of the Most Holy Rosary continue to live out their Christian calling by initiating a Prayer Service as part of their Christian Living Service, reflecting on the true meaning and value of 𝗟𝗶𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗴𝗶𝗮.

This project is under the supervision of 𝗠𝗿. 𝗝𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗹 𝗩𝗮𝗹𝗱𝗲𝘇, 𝗟𝗣𝗧. Through this initiative, the students seek to strengthen their faith and become instruments of prayer and hope, especially during these challenging times.

Together, let us pray for all those affected by the floods. May the Lord protect them, provide for their needs, and give them strength and hope.
