That was where her sales and marketing skills were honed, the skills that she uses in teaching newbie sales representatives. She has been teaching both Music and Academics since 2010. She specializes in Math and English. Most of her grade school and high school tutees are from Ateneo, la Salle, Poveda, Miriam College , Xavier, ICA, Assumption, St. Paul, UST and Stella Maris. Most of her students in English are professionals, managers usually. She effectively helps them improve their English communication skills, specifically grammar, writing and speaking. Currently, Teacher Jackie works full time at her Center as a Music / Instrument Teacher and Academics Teacher/Tutor. HUMBLE BEGINNINGS
It was in 2010 when Teacher Jackie began her freelance teaching journey in Academics and Music. She planned on testing the waters first before formally putting up a tutorial business, to see its maximum potential. Backed up by her Sales and Marketing background, she would advertise her teaching services primarily via OLX and Sulit, back in the day, as well as “flyering” into schools near her place. She would teach home service mostly, until she decided 3 years later to use a corner in their house garden in QC to accommodate a few students who live nearby …and surprisingly, those who live really far! She then named it “JMA Musicademics Tutorial House”. As years passed by, Teacher Jackie’s Private Tutoring flourished little by little. Yes, she enjoyed the perks of the simplicity of it that she almost forgot to step up to a higher level. She was about to put up a tutorial business when the pandemic struck globally in January 2020. Just like everyone else, she had to stop for a while until she turned the tables 7 months later, when she started teaching Online. This transition made her continue testing the waters for a few more years, to also assess the impact of the inclusion of Online Teaching in her Menu. After completing her assessment, Teacher Jackie formally put up her tutorial business in Upper Antipolo City as its main (first branch) , under the Trademark Name “Musicademics …Music and Academics Learning Center”… a DTI and BIR –registered tutorial center.
