On this day in 1956, the Philippines and Japan normalized diplomatic relations following the entry into force of the San Francisco Peace Treaty and the Reparations Agreement between the Republic of the Philippines and Japan.
1956年の今日、サンフランシスコ平和条約およびフィリピン共和国と日本との間の賠償協定の発効に伴い、フィリピンと日本は外交関係を正常化しました。
Celebrated every year on 23 July, Philippines–Japan Friendship Day reminds us how reconciliation and cooperation have since transformed our two nations into close like-minded partners and good friends. This friendship has flourished through shared values and experiences, everyday connections, and the countless moments that bring Filipinos and Japanese together. 🌸🤝
