The department's Thesis course commitment goes way beyond the application of the scientific inquiry and addressing scientific gaps:
1. Going back to the collection site to submit a copy of their results to stakeholders (Bauan, Batangas, and Sagada, Mt. Province, respectively)
2. Thesis results submitted and accepted for review in Scopus-indexed publications

PJS Article: This study documented the biodiversity of Lepidoptera across six Far Eastern University campuses to provide baseline data on urban butterfly and moth populations in the Philippines. Researchers recorded 82 species from 64 genera and found the highest diversity in FEU Cavite, with Lepidoptera commonly inhabiting campus gardens, shrubberies, and buildings. The study aims to improve understanding of urban biodiversity, assess environmental health, and support future conservation strategies for Lepidoptera in rapidly urbanizing areas.
