"𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗳𝗲, 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝘆 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝘆: 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗮 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗺𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆!"

September 26, 2024, Polonuling NHS held a school-wide earthquake drill, reinforcing the importance of emergency preparedness. Students and staff quickly followed the "Drop, Cover, and Hold On" protocol before evacuating to designated safety zones.

The drill highlighted the importance of disaster preparedness and demonstrated the school’s commitment to safeguarding the well-being of its community, while ensuring quick response and discipline during the drill and emphasizing that regular practice is key to ensuring safety during actual emergencies.

In our journey through life and education, we often encounter moments that test our strength, determination, and willpower. The phrase "Padayon lang," meaning "keep going," resonates deeply, especially for learners striving to reach their goals.

Life is not a straight path but a series of ups and downs, twists and turns. There are times when the road ahead seems daunting, when the weight of assignments, exams, and personal struggles can feel overwhelming. "Padayon lang" encourages us to embrace these challenges, not as insurmountable obstacles but as opportunities for growth and learning. Every setback is a lesson, every hurdle a chance to become stronger and wiser.

Polonuling High School's official publication, "𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀," takes its name and inspiration from Polaris, the North Star. This star emblem symbolizes guidance, equilibrium, and constant direction, which fits in perfectly with the publication's mission to illuminate the school community's path toward knowledge and truth.

"𝗣𝗼𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘀" aims to be a guiding light for the students, teachers, and staff of Polonuling High School, just as the North Star has guided sailors and explorers throughout history. It intends to set the standard for information sharing, raising consciousness, and exhibiting the variety of abilities and successes within the school community.

Inspired by Aris's spirit, campus journalist addresses the challenges of truth-seeking, investigative reporting, and responsible journalism, just as Aris did when confronted with obstacles on the battlefield. The Greek god's lofty principles are in line with the school community's devotion to truth and courage in facing difficulties.

Essentially, "Polaris" weaves a tale of leadership and exceptional journalism within the confines of Polonuling High School by uniting the enduring symbolism of the North Star with the courage and values that Aris exemplifies.
