“MAYMAY” HAS MADE LANDFALL IN THE VICINITY OF MAGSINGAL, ILOCOS SUR AND IS NOW TRAVERSING NORTHERN LUZON.

Based on DOST-PAGASA Tropical Cyclone Bulletin No. 8 issued at 8:00 PM on August 5, 2026, Tumauini, Isabela is under Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 1 due to Tropical Storm MAYMAY (KUJIRA).

Under TCWS No. 1, the municipality may experience:
Strong winds ranging from 39 to 61 km/h within the next 36 hours; Intermittent moderate to heavy rainfall; Possible localized flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas; Possible falling branches, damaged light structures, and travel disruptions;
Reduced visibility and hazardous road conditions during periods of heavy rain.

Residents, learners, parents, and school personnel are advised to remain vigilant, secure their homes and school property, monitor official weather advisories, and avoid unnecessary travel, especially during periods of intense rainfall and strong winds.

The Tumauini National High School Disaster Risk Reduction and Management (DRRM) Team shall continuously monitor weather developments and coordinate with the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Tumauini for updates and necessary actions.

📢 CLASS SUSPENSION ADVISORY

Pursuant to Executive Order No. 26, Series of 2026, issued by the Office of the Municipal Mayor of Tumauini, classes at all levels in both public and private schools are suspended on August 4, 2026 (Tuesday).

This measure is being implemented to ensure the safety and welfare of learners and school personnel due to the anticipated effects of Tropical Depression "LUIS".

Everyone is advised to stay alert, monitor official advisories, and observe necessary safety precautions.

🌧️ Rainfall Outlook for Tumauini, Isabela

📅 Today until Tomorrow Noon (August 4) ⚠️ Moderate to Heavy Rainfall (50-100 mm) is expected over Isabela, including Tumauini, due to the effects of Tropical Cyclone LUIS.

Possible impacts: 🔹 Localized flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas
🔹 Rising water levels in rivers, creeks, and irrigation canals
🔹 Possible landslides in vulnerable areas
🔹 Slippery roads and reduced visibility during heavy downpours

✅ No Wind Signal / No Heavy Rainfall Warning – Classes continue as scheduled.
🟡 Wind Signal No. 1 / Yellow Rainfall Warning – Suspension of classes may be implemented depending on the decision of local authorities.
🟠 Wind Signal No. 2–3 / Orange Rainfall Warning – Appropriate class suspension measures are enforced for affected grade levels and learning modalities.
