𝐂𝐁𝐄𝐀 𝐄𝐗𝐓𝐄𝐍𝐒𝐈𝐎𝐍 𝐄𝐌𝐏𝐎𝐖𝐄𝐑𝐒 𝐈𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆 𝐂𝐑𝐄𝐃𝐈𝐓 𝐂𝐎𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄 𝐓𝐎𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐃 𝐒𝐓𝐑𝐎𝐍𝐆𝐄𝐑 𝐆𝐎𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐍𝐀𝐍𝐂𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐔𝐒𝐓𝐀𝐈𝐍𝐀𝐁𝐋𝐄 𝐆𝐑𝐎𝐖𝐓𝐇

The Cagayan State University–Andrews Campus, through the College of Business, Entrepreneurship and Accountancy (CBEA) Extension Services, successfully conducted the extension activity titled “𝐊𝐎𝐎𝐏𝐄𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐆 𝐌𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐓𝐀𝐆: 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐧 𝐒𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐆𝐨𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧𝐜𝐞, 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐛𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐩 𝐃𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐝𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐁𝐀𝐍𝐀𝐆 𝐂𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐭 𝐂𝐨𝐨𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞” on July 18, 2026, at the Barangay Hall in Barangay Tagga.

The training aimed to further capacitate and empower the officers and members of the IBANAG Credit Cooperative (ICC) by strengthening their understanding of the cooperative’s governing policies, developing strategies to expand and sustain its membership base, and enhancing their capacity to effectively market the cooperative’s products and services.

The activity featured insightful discussions from the following resource speakers:

-Dr. Arnel P. Ringor — “Strengthening Cooperative Governance: Understanding and Operationalizing the By-Laws of the IBANAG Credit Cooperative”
-Assoc. Prof. Catherine A. Cabanada — “Building a Strong Cooperative Membership Base: Membership Generation, Member Benefits, and Effective Recruitment Strategies” and “From Cooperative to Market: Strategies for Marketing the Products and Services of the IBANAG Credit Cooperative”

The successful conduct of the training was made possible through the leadership and support of CBEA College Dean Dr. Giehlito Dulin; the cooperation of ICC Chairman Mr. Higin Lumaban; the support of the respected barangay officials headed by Punong Barangay Hon. Basilio Jr. Melad Matammu; the collective efforts of the CBEA faculty extensionists; and the active participation of the officers, members, and prospective members of the ICC.

The activity was coordinated by Mr. Jayvee Q. Tupas, CBEA College Extension Coordinator, as part of the college’s continuing commitment to empowering communities through relevant, responsive, and sustainable extension initiatives.
