𝗗𝗬𝗞? Melchora Aquino, also known as Tandang Sora, was a true hero of the Philippine Revolution! She is famously called The Mother of the Katipunan and The Mother of the Philippine Revolution. During the 1896 Philippine Revolution, she operated a store that became a sanctuary for the wounded and sick revolutionaries, offering them medical care, food, and a safe place to rest. Her home even hosted secret meetings for the Katipunan!

Tandang Sora risked her life to support the revolution, and despite being captured, interrogated, and deported to Guam by the Spanish, she remained loyal to the cause and never revealed any secrets of the Katipunan. Her bravery, selflessness, and unwavering patriotism continue to inspire us today.

Her legacy reminds us of the crucial role women played in the fight for independence and the importance of standing strong for what is right.
