Immerse yourself in the worlds of literature! Join us for Faces of Fiction on November 22nd from 6 p.m. to 6 a.m. at the JHS Covered Court, where each grade level brings beloved characters to life. From Philippine legends to global classics, this event celebrates stories that have touched generations.

To make this event even more amazing, each section needs to select their representatives, English Club officers will be collecting names of participants by November 5.

To ensure everyone has a chance to participate, we're limiting the number of participants per grade level. The first 100 students to sign up from each grade level will be able to join and watch the fun!

You'll be choosing your characters based off the categories provided, so get ready to bring your favorite literary figures to life!

Categories per Grade Level:

Grade 7 - Philippine literature
Grade 8 - Afro-Asian literature
Grade 9 - Anglo-American literature
Grade 10 - World literature

On October 4, 2024, the English Club successfully conducted the Teachers Booth, a fun and engaging event that drew a large crowd of eager participants.

Students were challenged to answer questions about the teachers in Pantay, with some even seeking help from their friends. Cheers filled the air whenever a student answered a question correctly, and the excitement was palpable. After answering correctly, participants had the chance to win prizes by shooting a ping-pong ball into cups. Some walked away with pens, Choco Mucho bars, or bags of candies, while others left empty-handed.

The event was a testament to the students' enthusiasm and their desire to show appreciation for their hardworking teachers.

The Teachers Booth was a resounding success, blending fun and knowledge in a way that left a lasting impression on everyone involved. The event's popularity was evident in the fact that some students even returned multiple times to test their knowledge and try their luck at winning prizes.

❗Please take note of the following information for our teachers' day event:

Title: Hulaan mo (Guess)

❗EXPLANATION (of the game):
The game involves answering questions drawn from a shuffled box. Each question is related to trivia about the teachers at PIHS. Questions will be separated by grade level.

❗CONSEQUENCE (of the game):
Participants must pay an entrance fee of 5 pesos to play. After paying, players will draw a random question from the box. If the player answers 2 questions correctly, they will receive a prize.

❗ PRIZE MECHANISM:
Players will shoot a ball into a cup, and the prize will be determined by the bottom of the cup where the ball lands. Different prizes will be placed randomly at the bottom of the cups.

• Pen (Black)
• Choco Mucho
• Candies

Come and join us on October 4, 2024 at PIHS JHS Covered Court, as we show our appreciation for our teachers, we acknowledge their tireless commitment to nurturing our potential.
