February 12, 2026 — A night filled with glitz and glamour at Mother Francisca Hall welcomed professors, students from different departments, guests, families, and friends, all gathered to lend an unfailing and moving support for each candidate; banners, balloons, cameras, and the loudest applause and shouts they could give were seen and heard in the crowd, and the candidates themselves within the stage. The energy was palpable, each cheer and clap carrying the excitement of a community celebrating talent, confidence, and spirit.

Eighteen candidates gave their best shot, starting with VTR up until showing different themes and colors of their attire, displaying their skills in giving perspectives and solving complex and current issues. Each segment reflected poise, elegance, thoughtfulness and creativity, a living proof to the heart and preparation behind every performance.

From this group, the top five candidates in each category advanced to the final round:

The final round, the Question-and-Answer portion, determined the face of Mr. and Ms. Siena 2026. The suspense in the hall was electric, as cheers and claps quieted just enough for the judges’ deliberation and the moment of announcement.

When the winners were revealed, the crowd erupted:
- Mr. Siena 2026 – Chayenne Widmark Poingue | 2nd Year, CHTCM, who shared what someone had taught him, “Mahalin ang aking gampanin,” and with realization that, “A diamond shines crafted by high pressure,” capturing the resilience, growth, and confidence of a Sienan.

- Ms. Siena 2026 – Elisa Acebuche | 2nd Year, CEIT, who highlighted her personal experience beforehand, that they told her it [College] would be the “scariest phase of life” and during her phase in Siena College of Taytay which turned out to feel like it was a “home,” reflecting the support and belonging nurtured by the institution.

February 12, 2026 — St. Thomas Grounds was lit up with many beautiful talents on stage as Siena Fair moved into its second day, carrying the energy of performance, creativity, and imagination across the grounds.

Day 2 of Siena Fair opened with creativity as Sienans showcased their talents on the stage at St. Thomas Grounds through stage presence, impersonation, craftsmanship, and innovation in cosplay. Participants in the cosplay event expressed themselves by bringing to life their favorite characters from shows and video games, turning the stage into a space of imagination and self-expression where personality and artistry intertwined.

One cosplayer who portrayed Riyo Reaper from the anime Gachiakuta shared that “the character Riyo Reaper relates so much to me,” illustrating how cosplay allowed students to project their emotions, experiences, and identities onto the characters they admire.

The event also highlighted the participants’ creativity and resourcefulness in making their costumes. One cosplayer mentioned, “Inukay ko yung iba and customized the rest,” showing how reused clothes were transformed through effort, intention, and personal style into something distinctly their own.

More than artistry, the cosplay event strengthened friendships among participants. One performer admitted feeling nervous before going on stage, saying, “I was feeling a bit nervous, but overall I think I’ve got this (we’re going to dance, I’m going to dance with my friends).” Their words reflected a shared sense of courage, camaraderie, and excitement that carried them through their performance.

Within the competitive setting, participants carried a strong sense of enjoyment and authenticity. As one cosplayer stated, “Competing is only an option, I’m joining for enjoyment and to be myself,” emphasizing that the event centered on personal expression rather than rankings.

Gakuen Clash 10 became a vibrant celebration of creativity, connection, and individuality where Sienans stepped into their chosen characters while confidently bringing their own identities to the stage.

February 11, 2026 - The Siena Fair 2026 officially opened at 7:00 AM with a Holy Mass celebrated in sync with the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes. The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by Rev. Fr. Danillo Ceresola, gathering students, faculty, and staff in prayer to formally begin the much-anticipated school fair.

The celebration started with opening remarks, followed by prayers and hymns offered to God. Mr. Daryl Javier proclaimed the First Reading, which featured the story of the Queen of Sheba’s visit to King Solomon, highlighting Solomon’s profound wisdom. The Gospel reading, taken from St. Matthew, centered on Christ’s teaching that it is not what enters a person’s mouth that defiles them, but what comes from the heart.

In his homily, Fr. Ceresola emphasized that a person’s actions reflect what is in the heart. He reminded everyone that loving God and obeying one’s parents are true signs of love and faith. He encouraged students to prioritize prayer over leisure and to study diligently, as education helps shape, teach, and purify the heart. “Ang puso ay tinuturuan, dinadalisay, at hinuhubog,” he said, stressing the importance of forming one’s heart in goodness and wisdom.

Reflecting on the First Reading, he explained how the Queen of Sheba tested King Solomon and witnessed his deep wisdom. However, he noted that Christ is greater than Solomon. He urged the community to follow the example of the Queen of Sheba by seeking Christ above all and avoiding sin.

Fr. Ceresola also shared the story of St. Catherine, who had a vision of Jesus exchanging hearts with her, symbolizing total transformation in Christ. He connected this to the message of Our Lady of Lourdes, reminding everyone that true joy is felt in the heart and comes from living in accordance with God’s will.

After the Mass, thanksgiving was expressed to the presider and to all participants. The blessing of booths and rides followed, marking the official start of the fair activities.

The ribbon-cutting ceremony was led by Fr. Ceresola, together with O.P., Siena Sisters, teachers from different departments, deans, and Sr. Rosalea G. Busilac, O.P The opening was formally declared under the theme, “Tuloy ang Ligaya Patungong Sitenta.”

The program continued with lively performances from students, including special numbers by Jamila, Danielle, and Kahlan Serrano Quiambao, as well as an energetic presentation by the Grade 11 and 12 dance crew.

With faith and festivity united, the Siena Fair 2026 commenced with a spirit of gratitude, joy, and renewed commitment to nurturing hearts guided by Christ.

February 6, 2026 – To support the Siena College of Taytay (SCT) community and prepare for future academic years, executives and representatives from both the Integrated Basic Education Department (IBED) and the School of Education Department (SED) convened for a strategic planning session on February 6, 2026, at Vibal Hall in St. Jacques Hotel. The activity aimed to set the institution’s direction for the next six years in preparation for SCT’s upcoming 75th Anniversary and Diamond Jubilee celebration in Academic Year 2031–2032.

The program formally began at 8:23 a.m. and was facilitated by Mr. Giann Carlo Arciwals, Institutional Student Affairs Officer. The opening prayer was led by Campus Ministry Head Ms. Maria Caridad Meneses, followed by an attendance check of executives, starting with the heads of non-faculty offices and administrators from IBED and SED.

SCT President Sr. Rosalea Busilac, OP, outlined the objectives of the session and shared her vision for the institution. In her address, she emphasized collaboration and shared responsibility among participants, highlighting the importance of completing all assigned outputs during the planning workshop.

Ms. Vivian Santos, Subject Area Coordinator for MAPEH, delivered the second presentation, which focused on “Living Our Mission and Vision.” Despite noting adjustments to her presentation format, her discussion encouraged active participation among both executives and representatives.

Data analysis and interpretation followed, led by Mr. Daryl Javier and Mr. Marion Esplanada. Mr. Javier presented the institution’s SWOT analysis, while Mr. Esplanada explained the interpretation of collected data from various offices and faculty members. At 10:42 a.m., participants were asked to share their insights through written inputs.

After lunch, the session resumed at 1:37 p.m. with a workshop. Participants were grouped to collaboratively develop plans assigned to them for the afternoon. The program concluded at 6:10 p.m. after each group presented their proposed plans.

February 10, 2026 — After more than a decade of waiting, teachers of Siena College of Taytay returned to the stage through Frolics 2026: 12 Years Reloaded, held at the St. Catherine Gymnasium. The faculty-led event marked the fifth Frolics and was staged as a full-day program, with performances from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. This article covers the afternoon show.

The program was hosted by Mr. Erlison Lorenz M. Ognilla, Mr. Winifredo Mendoza, and Mr. Christopher Balajadia. It formally opened with an opening prayer led by Mrs. Teresa Agana, incumbent president of the Faculty-Adviser Association (FAA).

Frolics was originally intended to be held every five years, but circumstances led to a 12-year gap since its previous staging. Its return in 2026 brought together faculty members from different departments, many of whom had not participated in the event before.

The 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. show featured a range of performances, including skits, stand-up comedy segments, parodies referencing popular pop culture trends over the years, and an OPM medley. The variety of acts reflected both humor and familiarity, drawing consistent engagement from the audience throughout the program.

As the event moved toward its conclusion, closing spiels were delivered by the hosts. One of the final lines came from Mr. Christopher Balajadia, who said, “Dahil sa Siena, tuloy ang ligaya,” as the song “Tuloy ang Ligaya Patungo Sitenta” played in the background. The song referenced Siena College of Taytay’s upcoming 70th anniversary next year.

The program ended with a group dance performance by the teachers to “Golden” by HUNTR/X from the K-Pop Demon Hunters OST, bringing all participating faculty members on stage for the final segment. The closing number served as a unified ending to a program that had seen teachers take on roles beyond the classroom.

Frolics 2026 concluded as the latest installment of a long-running faculty program following its return after more than a decade.

JANUARY 31, 2026 — Centered on the themes of self-discovery and spiritual vigilance, 1st to 3rd-year students from the College of Education, College of Engineering and Information Technology, and College of Nursing (First batch) gathered at the Mother Francisca Hall Auditorium today for their annual recollection.

The event starts at 7:30 AM facilitated by Ms. Jocelyn V. Daria, Head of the SED Campus Ministry. The sessions focused on deep spiritual realities, including understanding oneself, the inevitability of death, the nature of sin, and one's relationship with God.

The Danger of the "Lukewarm" Soul
Rev. Fr. Walter Zerda, Pacem delivered a message about the subtle dangers of spiritual complacency. He warned the students that a soul can drift from "lukewarm to cold, to spiritually dead" without even noticing it.

After the session, the Group Sharing activity highlighted distinct takeaways from each department:
College of Nursing: “Providence and Freedom”
College of Nursing (CON) tackled the complex relationship between Divine control and human agency. The nursing students reflected on the idea that while "God is in control," humans are also endowed with the "gift of freedom."

College of Engineering and Information Technology: “God at the Center”
The College of Engineering and Information Technology (CEIT) group centered their reflection on the fundamental role of the Creator. Their discussion emphasized that God must remain the center of all aspects of life—whether in technical advancements or personal growth.

College of Education: “Faith as Direction”
Students from the College of Education (COE) focused on the intersection of faith and vocation. The group discussed the significance of having a spiritual companion and the necessity of "knowing oneself" to determine one's future and career path. They concluded that while professional preparation is key, it is God who ultimately gives direction and meaning to their actions.

In interviews conducted immediately after the session, students shared their personal realizations and how the recollection impacted them:

Mark Dimailig, a 2nd year Nursing student shared that "Our journey in this life is full of ups and downs and we have to remember that God is always with us," his biggest realization from the talk.

Eirrel Yeshua Agustin, a 3rd-year student from College of Engineering and Information Technology, noted how the session impacted his view on the future. "It helped me gain a new perspective in how I should live my daily life in accordance to God's word and in having faith in Him," he said.

And from College of Education Jamaica Mae P. Gagar, a 2nd-year student, reflected on the spiritual weight of the day. "We only remember God if we need Him and we forget to thank Him for the blessings he has given," she remarked.

The recollection concluded with a Holy Mass at 2:00 PM, followed by a closing ceremony and word of thanks.

The event highlights Siena College of Taytay’s commitment of providing spiritual activities that lead students to "live like Jesus Christ" and participate in the evangelizing mission of the Church. The recollection ended at 3:00 PM, leaving the attendees with a call to remain spiritually vigilant and avoid spiritual mediocrity.
