Today, we honor the life, courage, and enduring legacy of 𝐉𝐨𝐬𝐞𝐟𝐚 𝐋𝐥𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐄𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐝𝐚, founder of the 𝐆𝐢𝐫𝐥 𝐒𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐭𝐬 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬 and a true symbol of leadership, service, and love for country.

150 Days of Kapit-Bisig: Paaralang Elementarya ng Laurel Celebrates a Successful First Term

LAUREL, TAYSAN, BATANGAS — September 16, 2026, 2 p.m. — A celebration of accomplishments, partnership, and commitment marked the State of the School Address (SOSA) cm Card Giving of Paaralang Elementarya ng Laurel, as teachers, parents, and stakeholders witnessed the meaningful gains achieved during the first 150 days of the School Head’s leadership.

Teachers were surprised and inspired as the accomplishments of the school’s key initiatives were presented, including Project SURVEY, Project BBTS, Project ASHES, Project 3SE, and Project CARE, reflecting the collective efforts of the Paaralang Elementarya ng Laurel community in responding to the needs of its learners.

The gathering also highlighted important policies and practices on DepEd Order No. 006, s. 2026 on Ensuring a Safe and Motivating Learning Environment (ESMLE), Positive Discipline (POSDI), and Inclusive Education, reinforcing the school’s commitment to creating a safe, caring, and learner-friendly environment.

Financial transparency was likewise given emphasis as Canteen Manager Mrs. Maricel C. Garcia presented the canteen financial report for June to August. The School Head also reported on the school’s MOOE utilization, while the SPTA Auditor shared the current status of the organization and its plans for the succeeding months.

The school also recognized outstanding learners and parents who extended exceptional support to Project BBTS, particularly Numeracy through Project TIPID, and Project ASHES through the Gulayan sa Tahanan initiative.

The activity culminated in the Card Giving, where parents and guardians received updates on their children’s learning progress and accomplishments during the first term.

More than a report of accomplishments, the gathering became a reflection of what can be achieved when a school community moves with one purpose. After 150 days, the Laurelian spirit continues to live by its mantra: “One Team, One Vision, One Goal.”

Taos-pusong pasasalamat ng Paaralang Elementarya ng Laurel sa mga TUPAD Members ng Barangay Laurel sa pangunguna ng ating mga lokal na lider sa kanilang tatlong araw na paglilinis at pagtulong sa pagpapanatili ng kalinisan at kaayusan ng ating paaralan.🙏

Beyond Training: Celebrating Inclusion and Nature

Taysan Sub-Office successfully conducted its Gender and Development (GAD) Training on September 12 at Nawawalang Paraiso Resort and Hotel, Barangay Camaysa, Tayabas City, Quezon Province, anchored on the theme “Recognizing Diversity, Enduring Equity: Intersectionality in Inclusive Education.”

One of the resource speakers was Ma’am Levi M. Perez, School Head of Paaralang Elementarya ng Laurel, who discussed Gender-Responsive and Disability-Inclusive Teaching Practices, highlighting the Power of Inclusion. Inclusion means creating learning spaces where every learner is valued, respected, and given meaningful opportunities to participate. It recognizes that diversity is a strength and that every learner deserves equitable support to thrive.

After the successful training, the teachers proceeded to Mother’s Wonderland along Maharlika Highway, Barangay Calumpang, Tayabas City, where they unwound while appreciating the beauty of nature. The visit also served as a gentle reminder of their shared responsibility to protect the environment and cherish the natural resources entrusted by the Creator.

Beyond learning and professional growth, the day became a celebration of diversity, inclusion, nature, and gratitude—a meaningful pause for educators who continue to make a difference in the lives of learners.

Kapit-Bisig: Lakas at Pagkakaisa sa Sports Meet

Paaralang Elementarya ng Laurel — Hindi lamang husay at tapang sa larangan ng palakasan ang namayani sa isinagawang Sports Meet, kundi higit sa lahat, ang lakas ng pagkakaisa at diwa ng “Kapit-Bisig,” Setyembre 8-9 at 11.

Hindi alintana ng mga atletang Laurelian ang maagang paggising at mahabang oras ng pagsasanay upang maipamalas ang kanilang galing at determinasyon. Sa likod ng kanilang bawat laro ay ang walang sawang paggabay ng mga g**ong nagsanay at sumuporta sa kanila, sa pangunguna ni Gng. Maricel C. Garcia, School Sports Coordinator.

Buong-pusong pasasalamat ang ipinapaabot ng paaralan sa SPTA, mga magulang, at Sangguniang Barangay sa kanilang puspos at patuloy na suporta. Natatangi rin ang pagkalinga ng Sangguniang Barangay sa pangunguna ni ABC President at Barangay Captain Hon. Leopoldo G. Perez, na patuloy na ipinagagamit ang sasakyan ng barangay upang matiyak ang maayos at ligtas na pagdadala ng mga atleta sa kanilang mga gawain.

Nakibahagi rin mismo si Ma’am Levi M. Perez, School Head, sa paghahanda ng pagkain ng mga atleta katuwang ang SPTA sa pangunguna ni Pres. Loreley Dagli.

Sa bawat pawis, sakripisyo, at suporta, pinatunayan ng Paaralang Elementarya ng Laurel na ang tagumpay ay hindi lamang nasusukat sa medalya, kundi sa pagkakaisang ipinapakita ng buong pamayanan ng paaralan.

On September 10, 2026 at 2:00 pm, the learners, parents, teachers, and School Head of Paaralang Elementarya ng Laurel actively participated in the Third Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED).

The drill reminds us that earthquake preparedness should be practiced at home, in the office, in school, or anywhere we may be. 🌏

Everyone practiced the proper DROP – COVER – HOLD procedure to strengthen awareness and readiness during an earthquake.

🔽 DROP – Get down low and protect yourself.
🛡️ COVER– Take cover under a sturdy table or protect your head and neck.
✊ HOLD – Hold on until the shaking stops.

This activity reinforces the importance of preparedness and safety—not only in school but wherever we are, even at home.
