hMPV stands for human metapneumovirus. It is one of the viruses that cause the "common cold" but it has other symptoms as well that can make people sick
If infected you may feel having a cough, fever, sorethroat, runny nose, bodyache and headache.
According to surgical oncoligist Vishal Rao of HCG hospital in India in which a few cases have been reported, there is no vaccine but if you have taken the following:
1) Flu shot
2) 3 Covid vaccines
then you are immuned but still you'll get sick but not the severity like in Covid.
It will not spread by talking or breathing because it's a "droplet infxn". Droplets are larger and settles quickly while Aerosols can be suspended in the air because of their minute size.
Hardcough and sneezing could be the main cause of transmission.
How can we prevent it?
1) Wear a mask in a crowded place
2) Wash hands regularly
3) Have complete vaccines
4) Balanced diet
5) Vitamins
6) Isolation if you feel sick
Now is the time to take precautionary measures once again.
Stay healthy always!
