Pataasandiwa

Pataasandiwa An annual literary-academic event for Tarlaqueno High School students organized by the UP Sandiwa.

Events include Debate, Essay Writing, Pagsulat ng Sanaysay, Extemporaneous Speech, Dagliang Talumpati, Poster Making, Quiz Bee, and Short Film Making. The year 2020 was perhaps the most disruptive one so far, attended by devastating natural disasters, heightened sociopolitical pressures, and the pandemic of the century. As we approach a full year of living in community quarantine, Patasaandiwa 202

1: Lockdown invites young Tarlaqueños to consider the various ills that plague society today, and engage each other in tough but important conversations. Through various competitions, we challenge Tarlac’s best and brightest to examine the various ways in which the country has been locked down, perhaps even before the pandemic. We hope to sharpen their critical thinking skills, and enable them to grapple with the country’s most pressing issues and concerns today.

Mariah Cual, John Carlo Oboy, Simon Lomibao, and Sidney Mariano all judged the Grand Finals, with all of them helping out in the successful Tarlac tournament!
