Jose V. Yap National High School successfully participated in the 2nd Quarter Nationwide Simultaneous Earthquake Drill (NSED) on June 18, 2026, at exactly 9:00 a.m. The activity aimed to enhance disaster preparedness and strengthen the capability of learners and school personnel to respond effectively during earthquake emergencies.
Students, teachers, and non-teaching personnel actively took part in the drill by observing the standard "Duck, Cover, and Hold" procedure and following the designated evacuation protocols. The conduct of the activity was closely supervised by the teaching staff, with the assistance of the Boy Scouts Outfit Adviser, BERT and SDRRM committee to ensure the safety and orderly participation of all involved.
Through initiatives such as the NSED, Jose V. Yap National High School continues to promote a culture of preparedness, resilience, and safety among its stakeholders.
