It was a story of people helping people.
It was a story of a community coming together to make sure that its athletes had what they needed to compete.
And one of the most meaningful chapters of that story was written through the support of the Local Government Unit of Tarangnan under the leadership of ๐๐๐ฒ๐จ๐ซ ๐๐๐ง๐ข๐ฅ๐จ ๐. ๐๐๐ง.
Tarangnan District was given the opportunity to use the municipality's Emergency Response Vehicle to support its delegation. To some, it may simply be a vehicle.
But to the athletes, coaches, and district personnel who experienced the challenges of bringing an entire delegation to a major athletic competition, it meant so much more. It meant mobility when it was needed most. It meant equipment and supplies could be transported more efficiently. It meant one less burden for coaches and athletes already carrying the pressure of competition.
And most importantly, it was a tangible reminder that the people of Tarangnan were behind them. While our athletes fought for every point, every finish, and every medal, someone was making sure that the journey behind the competition continued to move.
The support of Mayor Danilo V. Tan goes beyond the simple provision of transportation. It reflects a kind of leadership that recognizes that investing in sports is investing in the young people of the community. Sports teaches our learners lessons that cannot always be written on a classroom boardโdiscipline, perseverance, teamwork, courage, humility, and the determination to rise after every setback. By supporting the Tarangnan delegation, the LGU helped create an environment where young athletes could pursue excellence while proudly carrying the name of their schools and municipality.
A heartfelt thank you is likewise extended to the dedicated personnel of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Tarangnan, headed by ๐๐ง๐ ๐ซ. ๐๐๐ซ๐๐ข๐ฌ๐จ ๐. ๐๐๐๐ฒ๐๐ง.
When schools, local government, families, and the community come together, our young people can go farther.
Because sometimes, winning does not begin when the whistle blows.
Sometimes, it begins with someone saying, โWe will help you get there.โ
And Tarangnan got there.
