Tanza National Trade School Adopt-a-School Program
Adopt-a-School Program (RA No. 8525) refers to a mechanism which allows private entities to assist public schools in certain educational programs within an agreed period of time. It is an innovative pro-poor government program that gives private institutions and individuals the opportunity to become partners in education by providing assistance in the upgrading and modernization of the school. Ed Order No. 66, s. 2003 clearly states that any government school in all levels may participate in the said program. In pursuant to the guidelines, the school management established a school-based program on this project to somehow resolve matters such as shortage in classrooms, insufficiency of budget, and scarcity of high-performing learners. Partnership between the public and private sectors are expected to reduce such problems to attain the objectives of Education for All (EFA).
