TNCHS among 10 Tanza schools equipped with walkthrough metal detectors
To strengthen campus safety
TANZA National Comprehensive High School (TNCHS) is among the 10 public schools in the Municipality of Tanza that have been equipped with walkthrough metal detectors under the Local Government Unit’s (LGU) campus safety initiative.
The installation follows recent incidents of school-based violence reported in different parts of the country and aims to strengthen security by screening students, personnel, parents, and visitors before they enter the school premises.
The project was made possible through the collaboration between TNCHS and the LGU of Tanza, led by Mayor Archangelo “SM” Matro, with support from various offices, including the Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), the Municipal Engineering Office, and the General Services Office.
Dr. Florencio C. Costa, Principal IV of TNCHS, said the new security measure reflects the school’s commitment to protecting the welfare of its learners and employees while maintaining a safe and conducive learning environment.
“Ang kaligtasan ng ating mga mag-aaral, g**o, at kawani ang aming pangunahing prayoridad. Sa pamamagitan ng paglalagay ng walkthrough metal detectors at sa tulong ng ating lokal na pamahalaan at mga katuwang na tanggapan, mas napapalakas natin ang seguridad sa loob ng paaralan,” Dr. Costa said.
The walkthrough metal detectors are expected to become part of TNCHS’ regular security procedures as the school continues to strengthen measures that promote the safety and well-being of everyone on campus.
