March 26, 2026 โ Talisay Cityโs archery team once again showcased grit and precision, securing four bronze medals in the Team Olympic Round as competitions continued at Humayan, Pangdan, City of Naga.
Composed of Lance Adrian Anganangan, Aljohn L. Alub, Shan Evan Caballero, and Keith Chandreil E. Bass (reserve) of Adventist Academy, the Talisay City squad delivered a strong performance against the regionโs top contenders to finish as the third-best team in Region VII.
Anganangan, Alub, and Caballero led the charge in the Olympic round, battling through four intense sets and pushing the match to a decisive fifth set. Demonstrating composure under pressure, the trio consistently hit the 122-centimeter target from 70 meters, with each archer firing two arrows per set for a total of six arrows per team.
As dusk settled over the venue, the Talisay City bowmen held their ground to secure a podium finish, reaffirming their status as one of the regionโs rising forces in archery.
Despite the achievement, Coach Kathleen Talledo emphasized the need for continued discipline and preparation as the team sets its sights on the national stage.
โIโm happy for their win, but they need to be more serious in preparing for the upcoming Palarong Pambansa,โ said trainer Jeane Paul Gallego.
Anganangan and Alub had already clinched their spots in the Palarong Pambansa on March 24 after posting strong overall performances across the 30, 50, 60, and 70-meter distance events.
With their recent success, the Talisay City archers now turn their focus toward elevating their performance as they prepare to represent the region in the national meet.

THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING
We may not have won in all our battles as we end this yearโs CViRAA, but every game is a reminder that there is far more greater than victory.
What matters is how each of us refuses not to give up.
Let today be a reminder that every loss is not the end, itโs fuel for the next win.
