𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | HMTM students embark on Central Luzon field study

Delegates from the UM Tagum College Hospitality Management and Tourism Management (HMTM) program, totaling 98 participants, departed for the Bataan-Pampanga-Zambales Educational Tour, running from July 9–12, 2026.

The four-day exposure aims to provide the future hospitality and tourism professionals with hands-on, practical experience in Central Luzon’s accommodations, heritage landmarks, tourist destinations, and fine cuisine.

By observing local tourism operations, cultural preservation, and culinary standards up close, the tour serves as a bridge between students’ conceptual classroom foundations and real-time field practices.

𝐔𝐍𝐈𝐕𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐈𝐓𝐘 𝐍𝐄𝐖𝐒 | UM BSTM students embark on educational tour in Vietnam

Taking learning beyond borders, 29 Bachelor of Science in Tourism Management (BSTM) students from UM Tagum College, alongside delegates from other University of Mindanao campuses, embark in the International Educational Convergence Tour in Vietnam, which runs from June 21–27, 2026.

Organized in partnership with 168 Pacific Tours Inc., the week-long overseas journey brought together 85 student delegates from three other UM branches, comprising 49 participants from UM Main, 29 from UMTC, and seven from UM Digos.

Moreover, the said tour aims to provide future tourism professionals with firsthand exposure to and experience of global hospitality standards, upholding the university’s values of academic excellence beyond the classroom.
