Empowering the next generation of student leaders, the Department of Teacher Education Department Student Government (DTE DSG) and various student organization officers gathered for UGNAYAN 2.0 yesterday, July 11, 2026, from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM at AVR 1.

Guided by the theme "๐‘ซ๐’“๐’Š๐’—๐’†๐’ ๐’Š๐’ ๐‘บ๐’†๐’“๐’—๐’Š๐’„๐’†, ๐‘ผ๐’๐’Š๐’•๐’†๐’… ๐’ƒ๐’š ๐‘ณ๐’†๐’‚๐’…๐’†๐’“๐’”๐’‰๐’Š๐’‘," the day-long event blended professional development with institutional transition. The program featured a seminar on leadership alongside team-building games, with a formal Oath-Taking and Turnover Ceremony to officially usher in the new leadership body.

The General Student Council (GSC) was well-represented by incoming officers ๐’๐ก๐ž๐ข๐ฅ๐š ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ž ๐Œ๐ข๐ง๐š๐ฌ๐š๐ฅ๐ฏ๐š๐ฌ (President), ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ค ๐๐ข๐ž๐ฅ ๐๐š๐ฏ๐š๐ซ๐ซ๐š (VP External), and ๐‰๐ž๐ง๐ž๐›๐ž๐ญ๐ก ๐๐š๐ฅ๐๐ž๐ฌ๐œ๐จ (Logistics). Joining them from the DTE council were incoming leaders ๐’๐ก๐š๐ง๐ง๐ž๐ง ๐Œ๐š๐ ๐›๐š๐ง๐ฎ๐š (DTE President) and ๐€๐ข๐ณ๐š ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ž ๐๐š๐ฅ๐จ๐œ๐š (DTE Auditor), alongside outgoing officers ๐€๐ซ๐ข๐š๐ง๐š ๐Œ๐š๐ซ๐ข๐ž ๐‚๐š๐š๐ฌ๐ข (DTE Auditor) and ๐…๐ซ๐š๐ง๐œ๐ข๐ฌ ๐๐จ๐ญ๐จ๐ฒ (DTE Creatives Head) who facilitated the seamless transition of duties.

Maitha Jesseca Facto, Secretary of the General Science Council (GSC), actively participated in PLANET YUEM 2026 on June 22, 2026, at E-Park, Tagum City. The environmental initiative was spearheaded by the Council of Student Organizations (CSO), the Office of Student Affairs (OSA), and the City Agriculture Office (CAO).

As part of the activity, Facto contributed to soil bagging and the cleaning of the greenhouse within the venue, demonstrating her commitment to environmental sustainability and community engagement. The event brought together student leaders from the accredited student organizations of UM Tagum College and volunteers in support of greener and more sustainable campus and community initiatives.
