Telling time in Spanish is somehow easy for us Filipinos since we use Spanish numbers when telling them in Filipino languages. Let's learn them the standard Spanish way!

Level: A2 (advance beginner)

Sentence Patterns:

¿Qué hora es?
What time is it?

Es la una.
It's one o'clock.

Son las dos/tres/cuatro...
It's two/three/four... o'clock.

For time before 30 minutes:
Es/Son ______ y ______.
It's ______ o'clock.

For 30 minutes:
Es/Son ______ y media.

For time after 30 minutes:
Es/Son ______ menos ______.
It's ______ o'clock.

For 15 minutes:
After the current hour: Es/Son ______ y cuarto.
Before the next hour: Es/Son ______ menos cuarto.

For exact hour, you may choose either:
Es/Son _______. (general)
Es/Son _______ en punto. (for emphasis)
