Two daughters of Dr. Geminiano T. De Ocampo, Leticia O. Elegado and Cynthia O. Primero together with his grandchild VJ De Ocampo and wife Imelda T. De Ocampo are celebrating his birthday together after a visit to his tomb at Libingan ng mga Bayani.

On this day, let us remember and celebrate the birthday of Dr. Geminiano T. De Ocampo, one of our school's Alumni, a leader, pioneer, and the "Father of Modern Philippine Ophthalmology."
Dr. De Ocampo was born on September 16, 1907 in Malolos Bulacan. He studied and finished his primary education at Malolos Elementary School and graduated as Valedictorian in Bulacan High School, also known as Marcelo H. del Pilar National High School. πWith his knowledge and skills, he devoted his lifetime to the service of Science and Humanity.
He contributed a lot to our country which inspires us to view our future with vision and ambition. π«‘ He helped establish the Philippine Eye Bank in 1950; established the first eye hospital in the country, the De Ocampo Eye Hospital in 1952; and founded and led the Philippine Ophthalmological Society in 1958. π¨π»βπ¬
