Preparedness saves lives! The Technological University of the Philippines โ Taguig conducted an ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ข ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐to ensure that everyone on campus is ready to respond effectively in times of emergencies.
Students, faculty, staff, janitors, maintenance personnel, and canteen concessionaires actively participated in performing the duck, cover, and hold technique, evacuation procedures, familiarization of evacuation sites, use of fire extinguishers, and the bucket relay activity to put out fire. The student medics also showcased their skills through a capability demonstration on emergency response.
This activity was led by the Crisis Management Team of TUP-Taguig, headed by the Campus Director, ๐๐ป. ๐ก๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ฎ๐ต๐ต๐ฎ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ช๐น๐ฒ๐ช ๐๐ป., in collaboration with the Barangay Western Bicutan LGU, under the leadership of ๐๐ป๐ฐ๐. ๐๐ช๐น๐ฝ๐ช๐ฒ๐ท ๐๐ฎ๐ญ๐ป๐ฒ๐ฝ๐ธ ๐. ๐๐ฎ๐ป๐ถ๐ช๐ผ.

The Technological University of the PhilippinesโTaguig successfully conducted a Seminar-Workshop on the Impact Assessment of Extension Projects aimed at enhancing the capability of faculty members to evaluate the outcomes and impacts of their respective community extension initiatives.
This activity was organized by the ๐ป๐ผ๐ท-๐ป๐๐๐๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐
๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ , under the leadership of ๐ซ๐. ๐ฏ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด. ๐ป๐๐๐, Assistant Director for Research and Extension, and facilitated by Ms. Cindy Q. Maldecir, Science Research Analyst, together with Dr. Lieda A. Sobida, Head of Extension Services.
The event was graced by ๐ซ๐. ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ. ๐ซ๐๐๐๐๐๐, ๐ฑ๐., Campus Director, who delivered the opening remarks, emphasized the importance of aligning research and extension programs with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
The seminar provided valuable insights to faculty participants from different programs on how to effectively design and implement impact assessments for their projects, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and community development priorities.

Mr. Faderogao also conducted a hands-on workshop on developing the Theory of Change (ToC) and Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) Frameworks for Research and Extension, guiding participants in crafting effective, evidence-based assessment models.
This meaningful initiative reinforces TUPโTaguigโs commitment to promoting excellence in research, innovation, and community engagement toward sustainable development.

The INTENSE Program Information Session of ๐๐พ๐ฑ๐ท ๐ข๐ฑ๐ช๐ท ๐ค๐ท๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ผ๐ฒ๐ฝ๐, ๐ฃ๐ช๐ฒ๐๐ช๐ท was successfully conducted on October 14, 2025, at the Director's Office, TUP Taguig Campus. The event was organized in collaboration with the ๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฒ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฑ๐๐๐- ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐, introducing the ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ธ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ด๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ (๐ธ๐ฝ๐๐ด๐ฝ๐๐ด) ๐ฟ๐๐๐๐๐๐, which offers international study and employment opportunities in Taiwan.
The session was led by the Campus Director, Dr. Rexmelle F. Decapia Jr., and attended by the assistant directors, department heads of various programs, and the head of student affairs, who showed their support for global academic engagement. The alumni and graduating students are also present online because they are potential candidates for the program.
TUP Taguig was also honored to welcome three distinguished guests from Kun Shan UniversityโDr. Hsiao-Yen Chu, Director of the Micro & Precision Manufacturing Center; Ms. Tina Chang, Project Manager of the Office of International and Cross-Strait Affairs of the INTENSE Program; and Ms. M. Joy M. Fojas, General Manager of the Taiwan International Talent Circulation BaseโPhilippines Headquarter Office. Their presence and insights inspired the TUPT community to explore the vast opportunities offered by the INTENSE Program, fostering a stronger connection between TUP Taguig and partner institutions in Taiwan.

This event will explore the critical connection between bullying and mental health, specifically its links to anxiety and depression. Through this session, we aim to:

๐ Understand the psychological effects bullying has on mental health.
๐ Recognize early warning signs of distress in students.
๐ Develop coping strategies and peer-support practices.
๐ Learn about available resources on campus and in the community.
