“The Ultimate Smashdown: Quadrangular Badminton 2026”

The Quadriangular Meet 2026 Badminton event was held at Villa Mangga Court on September 11, 2026. Students from different schools competed in matches coordinated by Ma’am Angelu Ellorico, starting at 9 AM. The games were intense as the three participating schools—SMAT, SITC, PROIS and CSS—battled for the championship.

The real highlight of the tournament was the CSS vs. SITC, Single A Men's Game 1, the game was intense and exciting both players is aiming to win the first match, but CSS won the game 1 with a score of 21-13, while in Game 2 match CSS wom again with a final score of 21-11.
In Single B, CSS vs. SITC, CSS won the first match with a score of 21-11, Game 2 CSS aim to won the final match with a final score of 21-9

Now in the Doubles Men Game 1 CSS vs. SITC, in this match was exciting on both four players but CSS won the match with a score of 21-5, while in Game 2 CSS won again for this final match with a final score of 21-8

For Single A Women Game 1 CSS vs. SITC, In Game 1 for match is an outstanding match between two players, but CSS won the first game with a score of 21-10, while in Game 2 CSS finish it and won the final match with a final score of 21-5.
Single B Women's CSS vs. SITC again, CSS won the game 1 with a score of 21-8 and Game 2 CSS won against SITC with a final score of 21-9.

And for Doubles Women SITC vs. CSS, both teams played to win the match but CSS aim to win the first game with a score of 21-9, on Game 2 SITC bounced back in the second game and won against CSS with a score of 21-14, for Game 3 an exciting final game between two teams aiming to win this game but SITC won against CSS it was an intense fight on teams with a final score of 21-20.

Doubles Women SMAT VS CSS, FIGHTING FOR FINAL MATCH, CSS won the first match with a final score of 25-24, for GAME 2 FIGHTING FOR FINAL MATCH, CSS won the final game and they are now in the final for champion final score is 24-25.

The three institutions—Christian Samaritan School (CSS), Saint Ignatius Technical College (SITC), and Saint Mary's Academy of Tagoloan (SMAT) in Track and Field competition, coordinated by Sir Danoy Victoriano, held on September 12, 2026, at exactly 8am—under the warm morning sun, the athletes gathered on the track, ready to give their all. Located at Mohon, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, near the San Miguel Incorporation.

Four Schools, one Crown: Quadrangular Basketball Tournament 2026

The court was set on fire during the intense two-day Quadrangular Meet 2026 Basketball Tournament. Four schools were fighting for one crown— SITC, CSS, PROIS, and SMAT, went head-to-head battle for ultimate bragging rights in both the 3x3 and 5x5 Men's and Women's divisions.

September 11, 2026 | 9:30 am

The tournament kicked off at exactly 9:30 am, with fast-paced 3x3 action. In the Women's 3x3 division, SMAT showed early dominance, defeating CSS in a thriller with their sharp skills and energetic movement in court 6-7. Meanwhile, the Men's 3x3 SMAT Vs. PROIS went into the battlefield to showcase their skills, and defeated PROIS with a 14-7 score.

SMAT proceeded into the finale facing against CSS, as they skillfully moved with determination and eagerness to win. Css locked their piercing eyes into their opponent, passed then shot— the crowd was on hype to cheer their schools and players they support.

On the other hand in the 5x5 women division, CSS were fighting against SMAT. Their game was intense, but fun because they were motivated to play with determination.
And to become quadrangular meet 2026 5x5 champion. CSS players won, leaving SMAT with a 7-14 score.

But the real drama unfolded in the 5x5 Men's Division. The ticket into the finale CSS vs SMAT.

Before the championship, Poblacion Court witnessed a heart-stopping battle between SMAT and CSS. It was a loser vs loser match, win or go home— with the last spot in the finals on the line.

Both teams came out with desperation and intensity. SMAT banked on their physical defense, while CSS countered with composure and clutch outside shooting. The lead changed multiple times, and every possession felt like a finals game itself.

In the end, CSS held their nerve and survived the fight, defeating SMAT, and getting the last ticket to the championship.

THE MAIN EVENT: SITC VS CSS CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE

The championship game began at exactly 1:15 pm at Poblacion Court, CSS faced the waiting for championship players of SITC, in a heart-stopping finale battle.

It was a highly physical and strategic match. Both teams traded buckets, forced turnovers, and refused to back down. CSS, riding high from their previous win, pushed SITC to the limit and kept the game within one possession until the final seconds.

But the championship experience prevailed. SITC held their nerve in the clutch, executing crucial stops and free throws to escape with a thrilling 47-44 victory to claim the Quadrangular Meet 2026 crown.

CHECKMATE!: CSS DOMINATES CHESS QUADRANGULAR MEET

TAGOLOAN, MISAMIS ORIENTAL — A chess competition was held on September 11, 2026, at Saint Mary’s Academy of Tagoloan (SMAT), from 10:10 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. The event brought together by 6 chess players each from Saint Mary's Academy of Tagoloan (SMAT), Saint Ignatius Technical School (SITC), Christian Samaritan School (CSS), and 1 player from PROIS.

The competition was organized by Ma’am Buenaflor, with each player allotted 10 minutes per game. Throughout the event, participants demonstrated exceptional skill, concentration, and strategic thinking.

In the female category, Pizon of CSS emerged as champion 🏆, while Ricacho of SMAT was named 1st Runner-Up 🥇 and Camance of SITC placed 2nd Runner-Up 🥈.

In the male category, Tagailo of CSS was declared Champion🏆, followed by Haponia of CSS as 1st Runner-Up 🥇 and Cabaltiera of SITC as 2nd Runner-Up🥈. The competition highlighted the participants’ determination, sportsmanship, and passion for chess.

BILLIARDS QUADRANGULAR MEET 2026: THE SHOT FOR THE SPOT

The billiards competition of the Quadrangular Meet 2026 took place on September 11, 2026 at Baluarte, Tagoloan, Misamis Oriental, and started at exactly 9:35 AM which was coordinated by Sir Melvin Sarona, together with the coaches and teachers from SITC. The event brought together representives from Christian Samaritan School (CSS) and St. Ignatius Tagoloan College (SITC) for a game of precision and strategy in both the men’s and women’s divisions.

For the women’s category, SITC easily bagged an automatic victory as the only participant in the division. Meanwhile, the men’s division have become a competitive showdown between CSS and SITC, the only school participants for the billiards event. The format of the game consisted of multiple sets beginning with the 9 ball match, followed by a 15 ball, played under an 8 ball race to two.

Across the total of 19 intense rounds, both school participants has consistently showed control, tactical shot, and determination throughout the whole game. The final round then determined the official representatives for the next meet. After the intense game 🏆 Kean Naz Mase of CSS and 🏆 Joel Mari S. Yator of SITC became the official representatives for the next meet.

The billiards event did not only showcase an individual talent but also competitive spirit and determination that ended as another successful highlight of the Quadrangular Meet 2026.

🏆 CSS Women, SITC Men Claim Volleyball Championships in Quadrangular Meet

Christian Samaritan School (CSS) Girls and St. Ignatius Technical College (SITC) Boys emerged as champions of the women’s and men’s divisions, respectively, after dominant performances in the championship matches of the Quadrangular Volleyball Tournament held at the CSS Tagoloan Campus on September 11. CSS Girls swept SMAT Girls, 25–16 and 25–14, while SITC Boys defeated CSS Boys, 25–19 and 25–21, to secure their respective titles.

In the women’s division, CSS Girls advanced to the championship match after defeating SITC Girls in their opening game. Although CSS later fell to SMAT Girls, their overall tournament standing secured their place in the finals.

Facing SMAT once again in the championship match, CSS Girls bounced back with a strong performance, winning in straight sets, 25–16 and 25–14, to claim the women’s championship. SMAT Girls finished as 1st Runner-up, while SITC Girls placed 2nd Runner-up.

The men’s division featured an equally competitive series of matches. SITC Boys defeated CSS Boys in their opening game before securing another victory against SMAT Boys, earning a spot in the championship match. CSS Boys also advanced to the finals after defeating SMAT Boys in their elimination match.

In the championship game, SITC Boys maintained their momentum and defeated CSS Boys in straight sets, 25–19 and 25–21, securing the men’s championship. CSS Boys finished as 1st Runner-up, while SMAT Boys placed 2nd Runner-up.

Both divisions showcased intense competition as players demonstrated confidence, teamwork, and determination throughout the tournament. The championship victories of CSS Girls and SITC Boys highlighted their ability to perform under pressure and work together, making the event a memorable display of sportsmanship and volleyball.

Uniting to Build Safer Communities: Crime Prevention Program at Christian Samaritan School

On September 3, 2026, the National Police Commission Region 10 (NAPOLCOM 10) successfully conducted a Crime Prevention Awareness Program at Christian Samaritan School Tagoloan Campus. The program was held from 8:00 AM to 11:50 AM on Thursday at CSS Covered Court as part of the 32nd National Crime Prevention Week, with the theme “Strengthening Civilian Oversight and Collective Action for Safer Communities.” The activity gathered the school faculty, staff, Grade 10 and Grade 12 students to promote safety awareness, preparedness, and to strengthen cooperation with the police and local officials.

The school warmly welcomed the distinguished guest speakers and officials, including Atty. Yasir M. Ali of NAPOLCOM 10 and Atty. Ramon Alfredo E. Dela Cruz the Regional Director of NAPOLCOM 10. Hon. Armando Pomar was also present, on behalf of Atty. Nadya B. Emano-Elipe, the Municipal Mayor of the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Tagoloan. Other guests included PCOL Al M. Abanales, Provincial Director of the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office (PPO), PMAJ Geraldine J. Botanas the Chief of the Misamis Oriental Police Provincial Office (PPO), and Ms. Jean Clapano from the Municipal Social Welfare and Development Office (MSWD). The school community was also represented by Ms. Emelyn C. Somoso, Principal of Christian Samaritan School Tagoloan Campus.

The program focused on a very important topics such as bomb threat awareness, bullying prevention, active shooting response, and internet safety. The speakers also emphasized preparedness, responsible behavior, cooperation, and the importance of reporting suspicious activities to the police or authorities. Students were also encouraged to take action in promoting a safe and secure environment both within the school and in the community.

The event then concluded with the strong remark “Awareness is our strongest shield" followed by a statement emphasized that the peace and safety is not the government's obligation alone but a shared responsibility of the police, local government, schools, and every individual to build a better and safer place for all.
