𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆𝐍𝐀𝐍 | 𝐈𝐤𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐡𝐚𝐧 𝐩𝐚𝐫𝐚 𝐬𝐚 𝐌𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐥𝐚𝐝 𝐧𝐚 𝐊𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐮𝐤𝐚𝐬𝐚𝐧 𝐧𝐠 𝐏𝐚𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐥𝐚𝐧

Upang higit na maunawaan ng mga mag-aaral ang mga nararapat at hindi nararapat na gawain sa loob ng paaralan, isinagawa ang Ikalawang HUNTAHAN (Harmonizing, Understanding through Nurturing Trust, Action and Home-School Alliance for Nurturing Learners), na nakatuon sa pagpapaliwanag ng mga alituntuning nakapaloob sa opisyal na Student Handbook ng paaralan, Setyembre 16.

Sinimulan ni Gng. Jeaneth A. Maristela ang programa nang may sigla at galak. Sinundan ito ng pambansang awit ng Pilipinas na pinangunahan ni Lyca B. Marquez at ng taimtim na panalangin na inihandog naman ni Kyrie Elieson F. Moleta, kapwa mag-aaral mula sa Ika-labindalawang baitang. Pagkatapos nito, inihatid ni G. Sonny C. Delos Santos ang pambungad na pananalita.

Sa unang paksa ng agenda, ipinaliwanag ni Gng. Gilda S. Carandang, Faculty President, ang mga nilalaman ng Student Handbook. kabilang dito ang mga patakaran at alituntuning dapat sundin ng bawat mag-aaral. Binigyang-diin din niya ang usapin ng diskriminasyon batay sa relihiyon, kasarian, katayuan sa lipunan, antas, at kapansanan.

“Iwasan po natin, mga mag-aaral, ang diskriminasyon,” ani Gng. Carandang.

Bukod pa rito, pinagtuunan din ng pansin ang mga ipinagbabawal dalhin at gawin sa loob ng paaralan, gaya ng pagdadala ng mga mapanganib o matutulis na kasangkapan. Sa bandang huli ng kaniyang mensahe, ipinaliwanag niya ang kahalagahan ng Handbook sa mga estudyante.

Ipinagbigay-alam naman ng Punong-Guro I ng paaralan na si Gng. Marissa C. Balmes ang gaganaping NCAE o National Career Assessment Examination sa computer laboratory ng paaralan sa ika-18 at ika-21 ng Setyembre 2026 para lamang sa mga mag-aaral sa Ika-sampung Baitang. Binanggit din ng punong-g**o na naka-iskedyul na rin ang Ika-siyam na Baitang sa Enero, ngunit wala pang eksaktong araw kung kailan ito isasagawa.

Para sa pagtatapos ng programa, pinangunahan ni G. Allan E. Bantigue ang closing remarks upang opisyal na tapusin ang programa. Bago niya ito wakasan, nag-iwan siya ng munting paalala, “Magkaisa at magtulungan para sa magandang kinabukasan ng mamamayan.”

“Ang natutunan ko po ngayong hapon sa meeting ay yung mga binahagi na rules and protocols ni Ma’am Gilda dito sa ating paaralan,” wika ni Kurt Yuri G. Endaya, mag-aaral mula sa Ikalabing-isang baitang.

Pagkatapos ng palatuntunin, agad na nagtungo ang mga magulang at mag-aaral sa kani-kanilang mga tagapayo para sa pamamahagi at pagpapakita ng mga report card.

Nagtapos ang HUNTAHAN nang may kaayusan, busog sa kaalaman at mas malawak na kaisipan ang mga kabataan gayundin ang mga magulang. Hindi lamang ito dahil sa Handbook na ipinamigay, kundi dahil din sa mga paliwanag at patuloy na paggabay ng mga g**o ng Katimo National High School. Sa pamamagitan ng HUNTAHAN, higit pang napagtibay ang ugnayan ng tahanan at paaralan tungo sa paghubog ng mga responsableng mag-aaral at sa pagkakaroon ng mas maunlad na kinabukasan.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐈𝐂𝐓 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐠𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝟐 𝐨𝐟 𝐈𝐍𝐒𝐄𝐓

Katimo National High School explored ways to maximize Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in classroom instruction during the second day of the In-Service Training (INSET) on September 11, 2026.

With the theme “Maximizing ICT Integration in Classroom Instruction.”, the session, led by resource speaker Sir Ariel C. Piol, focused on the purposeful selection, development, organization, and utilization of teaching and learning resources, including ICT, to support students in achieving the intended learning goals.

Piol emphasized that using technology does not simply mean incorporating PowerPoint presentations, videos, or digital activities into lessons. Instead, ICT tools should be appropriate to the competency and learning objectives, serving as support for instruction rather than replacing the teacher or the lesson itself.

He also encouraged teachers to innovate existing learning materials and align them with their lessons and the needs of their learners.

The training highlights the importance of using technology with purpose, creativity, and consideration of learners’ needs to make classroom instruction more engaging and meaningful.

𝐋𝐎𝐎𝐊 | 𝐈𝐧-𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐢𝐜𝐞 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐇𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐥𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭𝐬 𝐃𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐢𝐭𝐲, 𝐃𝐢𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐈𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

Focusing on the importance of seeing and valuing the backgrounds, characteristics, strengths, challenges, and learning preferences of students, Katimo National High School held its In-Service Training with the theme "Understanding and Respecting Diversity of Learners Through Differentiated Instruction", September 10.

Serving as a resource speaker, Mr. Sonny C. Delos Santos talked about the traits of students from generations especially Gen Z and Gen Alpha and how technology has changed the way they communicate and learn. He pointed out that teachers need to pay attention to these differences when they plan and teach.

“We must understand this generation", Delos Santos said. He asked teachers to get to know their students and learn about their experiences and traits.

The discussion also explored various teaching strategies that may be used to accommodate learner diversity, including technology-based activities, multimedia presentations, digital storytelling, role-playing, collaborative tasks, and other approaches that provide learners with different ways to participate and demonstrate their understanding.

Delos Santos also said that teachers should change their methods to fit where their students are. He said that it is not good to use one methods for everyone. Instead, teachers should think about what each student needs and use the tools and activities to help them learn better.

The training also talked about the gaps in learning and the difficulties that students face. It reminded teachers that they have a role in helping students and creating chances for them to learn in a way. Teachers were also encouraged to try ideas and keep improving how they teach.

The training showed how important it is to understand the kinds of students and use different ways of teaching to make the classroom more welcoming and better, for everyone.

Katimo National High School held an Oathtaking Ceremony and Acquaintance Ball with the theme, “Leadership with Purpose, Service with Sincerity, Excellence with Commitment,” marking the beginning of every student leaders' responsibility, September 8.

The program started with all the individual inside the campus singing the National Anthem led by Mr. Regal J. Capiña, immediately followed by an opening prayer by Ms. Ghe Ann R. Ruz to strengthen everyone's faith and a program guided throughout.

Afterwards, Jann Steven A. Maristela, SSLG President, expressed his opening remarks, greeting the beloved inducting officers, teachers, PTA officers, students, and individuals present at the event. He highlighted that the night was not just another day that would pass, but a time where student leaders formally accept the responsibilities entrusted to them.

“Ang gabing ito ay hindi lamang isang simpleng pagtitipon o pagdiriwang. Ito ay isang mahalagang kabanata kung saan natin pormal na tatanggapin ang panibagong responsibilidad at dedikasyon sa paglilingkod,” Maristela stated.

Mr. Reynaldo G. Requinto, General PTA President, also greeted everyone and emphasized that the event is significant in every leaders' life and term.

To ease the mood, Likhawitan members took a remarkable performance that sparkled through the school’s atmosphere.

The event continued with Ms. Lady Dianne S. Carandang, the Master of Ceremonies, ringing the bell to start the oathtaking of all the leaders inside and outside the school’s premises. The oathtaking started with the PTA officers, followed by the classroom officers, KNHS Learner Organization, KNHS Learner Clubs, SSLG Organization, and lastly, the SGPTA Officers.

Afterwards, Mrs. Jeaneth A. Maristela, announced the winners of the Sport's Fest 2026 to conclude the event. To end the program, Mrs. Gilda S. Carandang, Faculty President, delivered her closing remarks and encouraged everyone to enjoy the rest of the evening as the celebration continued with a night of dancing and camaraderie.

The program highlighted that through a simple activity, we can face the responsibilities ahead with poise and confidence because when people serve and lead with integrity and love, we will excell.

Grade 12 Black Scorpions, itinanghal na OVERALL CHAMPIONS sa natapos na sukatan ng galing, talento, at pagkakaisa, ang Sport's Fest 2026 sa Katimo National High School, Setyembre 7-8.

Hindi naging madali ang paglalakbay ng Grade 12 tungo sa kampeonato dahil ang laban ay mainit, dikit, at naggigitgit. Ngunit hindi sila pumayag na agawin ang liwanag sa kanila. Mula sa pagrampa hanggang sa paghampas ng bola, kumikinang ang pagtutulungan upang makamit ang minimithi ng lahat.

Ang ngiti sa bawat labi nila ay abot-mata, na para bang nasungkit nila ang yaman na nag-iisa sa buong mundo. Hindi nila lubos akalain na sila ang kikinang ng ginto sapagkat naging mahigpit ang tagisan, kaya hindi matawaran ang kanilang kasiyahan.

Bawat isa’y naging parte ng pagkapanalo. Ang talento at tiyaga ng bawat isa ang naghatid sa kanila upang maisako ang tagumpay. Bawat ginto, pilak, at tansong kanilang namina ay testamento na mananaig pa rin ang lumalaban nang may iisang layunin.

Sadyang ang kamandag ng Black Scorpions ay hindi mapipinaw. Kahit naging mahirap ang kanilang paglalakbay, nanatili silang nakatayo, taas-noo, at handang sumagupa.

“Sa totoo lang, hindi namin in-expect kasi ang paalala lang naman namin sa Grade 12 ay mag-enjoy since last year na nila ito sa school. But nung in-announce na kami nga ang overall champs, syempre napatalon kami sa saya,” ani Mr. John Henry Pagcaliwanggan, Grade 12 Adviser.

Saya at pagmamahal ang naging ugat ng kanilang pagkapanalo. Dahil kapag mahal mo ang ginagawa mo at masaya ka sa bawat galaw na iyong ipinapakita, ang kampeonato ay iyong masasalo.

Umigting ang bakbakan sa hardcourt nang dominahin ng Black Scorpions ang Blue Wolves upang angkinin ang panalo sa Men’s Basketball Division sa ginanap na Sport's Fest., Setyembre 8.

Umpisa pa lamang ng laban para sa kampeonato, kaagad na umarangkada ang Black Scorpions at rumatsada sa kanilang determinasyong masungkit ang titulo ngayong taon. Agad silang lumamang ng 11 puntos sa pagtatapos ng unang quarter, 29–18.

Pagsapit ng ikalawang quarter, sinubukan ng Blue Wolves na humabol sa laban, ngunit bigo pa rin silang maibaba ang lamang ng kanilang katunggali. Naging masigla at dikit ang palitan ng puntos sa bawat bahagi ng laro, habang kapwa ipinamalas ng dalawang koponan ang kanilang husay at determinasyon na maiuwi ang titulo.

Tuluyang nagpakitang-gilas ang Black Scorpions at lalo pang pinalawak ang kanilang kalamangan sa huling quarter, upang tuluyang makamit ang kampeonato, 47–27.

"Sobrang saya namin syempre dahil nakuha namin ang kampeonato. While playing, hindi nawawala ang kaba, pero dahil sa determinasyon naming manalo at sa pagkakaisa ng aming team ay nakuha namin ang kampeonato." ani Jayron Zenn O. Todiño captain ball ng Black Scorpions.

Sa huli, kapwa nag-iwan ng magandang laban ang dalawang koponan, na ipinakita ang kanilang husay, determinasyon, at sportsmanship sa harap ng kanilang mga tagasuporta.
