BISU and HNU Hold Forum on Babaylan Leadership in Modern Academia

Faculty, staff, and students from Bohol Island State University (BISU) and Holy Name University (HNU), with guests from Tagbilaran City College, gathered on March 18, 2026, at Panda Tea Garden Suites for the GAD Talks on Babaylan Leadership in Modern Academia and Administration forum, themed “Power Rooted in Wisdom, Integrity, and Compassion.” Organized in collaboration with HNU and BISU, the event featured distinguished speakers Dr. Anne Mariquit D. Oppus, Provincial Human Resource Management and Development Officer of Bohol; Ms. Joan V. Llanos, Trainer and Women’s Rights Advocate; and Ms. Queenie Melody Fullante, DRRM Officer and Miss Bohol 2014, who shared insights on inclusive governance, transformative leadership, and resilience in academic and administrative settings. Participants actively engaged in discussions aimed at promoting values-driven leadership and empowering the next generation of leaders in higher education.

Are you a creative student with a passion for advocacy and design? This is your chance to make a lasting impact! The Gender and Development (GAD) Office invites all currently enrolled students to design the Official GAD Office Logo — a symbol of equality, inclusivity, empowerment, and social justice in our University.

Let your creativity speak for gender equality and inclusive development. Your design could become the official emblem used in programs, publications, and institutional initiatives.
