𝗡𝗘𝗪𝗦 | 𝗞𝘂𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝗕𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗮𝗴𝘀 𝟮𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿-𝘂𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗥𝗮𝗸𝗿𝗮𝗸𝗮𝗻 𝘀𝗮 𝗧𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗸𝘂𝗱𝗼𝗻𝗴 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱

The Sultan Kudarat State University (SKSU) - Tacurong Campus Kudong Band proudly clinched the 2nd Runner-Up award in the Rakrakan sa Talakudong Inter-School Category, held on September 15, 2025, at 9:00 PM at the City Hall Grounds. The event was part of the 25th Cityhood Anniversary and Talakudong Festival celebration.

Adding to their recognition, Angeline Arcuna was hailed as the event’s Best Bassist, proving her exceptional talent among the competing musicians.

Bishop David Salazar, founder of Rakrakan, praised the group’s vocalist Eleseo Morales III, saying he saw great potential and a promising musical journey ahead. Despite a few shortcomings during their performance, the band expressed pride in their achievement and acknowledged the lessons learned from the competition.

The Kudong Band extended their gratitude to Ma’am Shuttleyn for her unwavering support, the Mikko Charlotte Music Center and Store for sponsoring some of their instruments, and to their dedicated band leaders Chryzler Kent Sabado (BSMA 2A) and Janner Occol for their guidance and encouragement.
