Siena makes its mark at the 𝗟𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗴𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗞𝗮𝗯𝗮𝘁𝗮𝗮𝗻 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿-𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗼 𝗕𝗿𝗼𝗮𝗱𝗰𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗲𝘁𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, securing the 2𝗻𝗱 𝗥𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿 𝗨𝗽 title!

Held this August 13, 2026, at the Tacurong City Hall, the competition brought together young broadcasters who showcased their voices, creativity, confidence, and passion for journalism.

With the theme “Different Contexts, Common Aspirations,” this victory proves that despite coming from different schools and backgrounds, young people share one aspiration—to inform, inspire, and make their voices heard.

𝐍𝐃-𝐒𝐂𝐓 𝐋𝐚𝐮𝐧𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐬 “𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐫” 𝐈𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐒.𝐘 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔-𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟕

Notre Dame-Siena College of Tacurong launched“𝐂𝐫𝐮𝐦𝐛𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐨𝐫” a charitable initiative on July 13, 2026, encouraging students and members of the school community to extend support to those in need.

The initiative aims to provide assistance to the sick, the poor, and the marginalized through small but genuine monetary contributions from the Siena community, with every donation serving as an expression of Christ’s love, mercy, and compassion.

Through “Crumbs for the Poor,” the school community is reminded that generosity is not measured by the amount given but by the sincerity behind every act of charity, as even the smallest contribution can bring hope and help make the lives of others a little lighter.

The Notre Dame–Siena College of Tacurong, Inc. gathered for its 𝗙𝗶𝗿𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝘂𝗴𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝟮, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, in a celebration of faith, gratitude, and renewed trust in God. The Eucharistic celebration was sponsored by 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟭 – 𝗕𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗥𝗲𝗴𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗱 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗚𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲 𝟭𝟭 – 𝗦𝘁. 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻, together with their respective advisers.

The Eucharistic celebration was presided over by 𝗥𝗲𝘃. 𝗙𝗿. 𝗗𝗮𝗿𝘆𝗹𝗹 𝗗𝗵𝗮𝗻 𝗟. 𝗕𝗶𝗹𝗯𝗮𝗼, 𝗗𝗖𝗖. who reminded the faithful through his homily that 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗴𝗴𝗹𝗲𝘀 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗴𝗶𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘂𝗽, 𝗶𝘁 𝗺𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗚𝗼𝗱 𝘁𝗼 𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗿𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗶𝗺 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗹𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀.

Fr. Bilbao reflected on the 𝐦𝐢𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐟𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐨𝐚𝐯𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐰𝐨 𝐟𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐬, where the apostles were faced with uncertainty and concern over how they would provide food for the multitude. Yet, instead of allowing their worries to overcome them, Jesus prayed, trusted in the Father, and a miracle unfolded.

Through this Gospel, Fr. Bilbao reminded everyone not to allow their problems to become the center of their lives. Rather, we are called to 𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐆𝐨𝐝, 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐲 𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐟 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐭𝐥𝐲 𝐰𝐨𝐫𝐫𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐫𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐇𝐞 𝐰𝐢𝐥𝐥 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐝𝐞 𝐢𝐧 𝐇𝐢𝐬 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐟𝐞𝐜𝐭 𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞. Our struggles may remain, but surrendering them to God allows us to face them with a heart anchored in faith.

The celebration served as a reminder to ʀᴇᴘʟᴀᴄᴇ ᴅᴏᴜʙᴛѕ ᴡɪᴛʜ ғᴀɪᴛʜ, ғᴇᴀʀ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜᴏᴘᴇ, ᴀɴᴅ ᴡᴏʀʀʏ ᴡɪᴛʜ ᴘʀᴀʏᴇʀ. When we surrender what we cannot control and allow God to take the lead, we discover that even the smallest offering, when placed in His hands, can become something extraordinary.

May we continue to trust God amid every uncertainty, remembering that 𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗶𝘀 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗲𝗮𝘁—𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗮𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝘁𝗵. 🤍🙏

ND-SCT community warmly celebrate an early feast day for St. Dominic de Guzman last friday, August 7, that marked the 800th anniversary of the dies natalis. The Siena community united as one in thanksgiving, as they honored St. Dominic and expressed gratitude for the Dominican Sisters whose presence and ministry sustain the school’s mission.

The day starts with a Eucharistic celebration in the morning, followed by the continuation of the celebration at St. Catherine’s Hall together with the Dominican Sisters of Siena, Sr. Erlinda M. Muring, O.P., Sr. Alfonsa I. Villanueva, O.P., and Sr. Jenen A. Ampoyas, O.P.

The formal celebration started with students warmly greeting the Dominican Sisters in reverence to St. Dominic’s Day. The Dominican Sisters were deeply joyous with seeing the students happy and showering them with care and honor through their different gift tributes.

Sr. Erlinda M. Muring, O.P., then shared her speech of experience in being a Dominican sister. She teaches the students the importance of the values guided by St. Dominic De Guzman. The event came to an end, leaving the students rooted to the different values and teachings St. Dominic lived.

Notre Dame-Siena College of Tacurong, Inc. conducted a Parenting Seminar on August 8, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at St. Catherine Hall, under the theme “𝘽𝙪𝙞𝙡𝙙𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙃𝙤𝙥𝙚 𝙤𝙛 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙁𝙪𝙩𝙪𝙧𝙚 𝙏𝙤𝙜𝙚𝙩𝙝𝙚𝙧: 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙩𝙣𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙃𝙤𝙢𝙚 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙎𝙘𝙝𝙤𝙤𝙡 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙎𝙩𝙪𝙙𝙚𝙣𝙩 𝙎𝙪𝙘𝙘𝙚𝙨𝙨.”

The seminar aimed to strengthen the partnership between parents and the school by providing a venue for meaningful discussions and shared insights on supporting students in their academic and personal development.

Through the activity, the school sought to encourage stronger parent-school collaboration and emphasized the important role of families in building a supportive environment for student success.

On this Feast Day of St. Dominic de Guzman, Notre Dame-Siena College of Tacurong, Inc. remembers a founder whose life was shaped by prayer, study, and preaching. From his work in the early 13th century to the formation of the Order of Preachers, St. Dominic answered his time’s needs by combining deep prayer with clear teaching, forming communities that sought truth with humility.

St. Dominic’s values continue to inspire the school’s mission to educate mind and heart for the common good. These lifelong principles invite faculty, staff, and students to continue learning with interest, serve others with compassion, and share truth with kindness.

May the values and teachings of St. Dominic be a guide for us toward faithful service and humility, forming graduates who build a more just and caring society.

ND-SCT CELEBRATES NUTRITION MONTH 2026

With the theme, “Food at Nutrition Security, Maging Priority! Sapat na Pagkain, Karapatan Natin!”, the NDSCT community proudly celebrated Nutrition Month through a series of engaging and meaningful activities that promoted healthy living, creativity, and environmental awareness.

The Nutrition Month events officially kicked off on Wednesday afternoon, July 22, 2026, with the Nutri Quiz Bee and the Makakalikasan Poster Making Competition, where students showcased their knowledge of nutrition and expressed their commitment to protecting the environment through art.

The month-long celebration concluded on Friday afternoon, July 31, 2026, during the Nutrition Month Culmination, highlighted by the energetic Nutri Zumba and the vibrant Nutri Jingle Competition. The event also recognized the outstanding winners of all Nutrition Month activities, celebrating the students’ creativity, teamwork, and dedication.

More than just a celebration, this year’s Nutrition Month served as a reminder that achieving food and nutrition security is a shared responsibility. Together, let us continue to make healthy choices, promote sustainable practices, and uphold every Filipino’s right to safe, nutritious, and sufficient food.
